~Chapter One~
It was a quiet day in the small village of darkSpyro. The village was divided into four neighbourhoods: DS Help And Suggestions (where the government team, known as Hunters, lived to protect and edit the place from time to time; the Classic Spyro Street, where the elderly residents were based and who came out only to moan at the kids on Skylander Street (which was full of annoying little kids who lived, breathed, ate, crapped on, you name it) Skylander figures 24/7; and Fan Art, where the adults hung out and chatted about boring stuff. Stuff And Nonsense was the town centre, where nearly everyone went everyday for news, entertainment, venting, and fun. To the left of S&N was Forum Games where denying could go to unwind and play a few games, and to the right was Role Play, where the wannabe Performing Arts people attended classes and whatnot. There was a tiny school in General. So, basically, everyone got on quite well.
"Ah, today is beautiful," Old Barosaid to herself, as she wandered through the town centre, occasionally stopping to look at the latest topics. Suddenly, two children on a skateboard whizzed past her, causing her to spin in confusion whilst a cloud of dust formed a protective bubble around her.
"Oops! Sorry!" The squeaky voice of Sleepy cried, following by HardCoreIgnitor's childish laughing.
"Damn kids!" Baro shouted, waving her walking stick. "Don't they teach you anything in General School?!"
"They teach 'em **** all," another voice said behind her. Baro turned to see SPARXisAWESOME, a well-known teenage rebel.
"How would you know? You never even attend!" Baro scolded.
"Oh, go back to the Classic 'hood, you old bag," SiA sniggered. The two women bickered on.
Sleepy and HCI rode around on their skateboard, as bored as a fish in an empty bowl.
"What should we do today?" Sleepy asked her younger brother.
"Uh....go play games?" HCI suggested.
"Nah. Jaggedstar flooded the place with lemon juice last night because TorchSheep beat her ass in every game, so they closed it for the rest of the week."
HCI chuckled. "How about..we annoy the Hunters?"
Sleepy had a firm face on. "Mum told me to look after you and not get into any trouble."
HCI stared at his sister. This wasn't like her.
"But she's not around, so let's go!" Sleepy pushed the board with her feet and they were off, yelling with delight, towards the Help And Suggestions.

"Romeo, Romeo. Wherefore art thou, Romeo? Oh, there's Romeo!" HotDogAndZap recited clearly, her voice booming across the rehearsal hall.
"What light through yonder window breaks? That window up there, dummy," Starfire Dragon mumbled.
The director of the playPrivate Romeo and Juliet facepalmed in agitation. "NononononoNO!! It's the other way round! And Starfire, speak UP!!"
Starfire looked offended. "Excuse me?!" He said, one hand on his hip. "I'm a better actor than Mustard Dog over there!"
HotDogAndZap gasped. "That is no way to speak to a lady, especially a lady with more Pokémons than you'll ever have!"
Starfire's green eyes glistened maliciously. "I challenge you to a battle of the forces!"
"Bring it!"
The two actors sprinted off stage and out of Role Play, turning on their Nintendos in the process and banging into walls.
"So, I guess I'll see you two tomorrow?" Director Wild sighed in their wake. "They don't need me in Help and Suggestions right now, and we are performing in two weeks, but whatever."
Wild looked around, feeling the atmosphere change from normally warm to unusually empty and icy. It unnerved her, as she knew there were others rehearsing in the rooms next to hers whose voices could be heard, and comforted her if she was left alone before or after a session-like now. But, try as she might to strain her ears, not a sound entered her ear canal. A slight breeze lifted the hair from her pale face, causing goosebumps to run all over her body like tiny ants.
"Uh..hello?"
That "hello" echoed through the hallways, bouncing off the walls and hitting Wild in the face. Literally. She fell back in pain, clutching the side of her face where it had been struck by a presence unknown. Wild opened her eyes and inhaled sharply through her teeth. The creature that her now-not-so-innocent eyes had feasted on saw that she was awake. Its fist was the equivalent weight to a brick house, as Wild found out when the creature brought it down in her head. She blacked out.
Note: I don't mean for anyone to get offended with this. If you do, tell me IN A NICE WAY and I'll change your character.
Note 2: Anyone who gets the reference in HDAZ and Starfire's lines can have my Sparx rank (if they are blue.)
