Well... I took thing to far with Gooby. And is I am sorry, I didn't do this for laughs I promise. I did this to see what the life of a newbie was like just to see what they go through. Well I am sorry again. I do not believe any of the things I said, honestly I would want to punch myself too. I felt bad but did just to see what a newbie would be like if he fought back. Trust me I think all of you are nice and I understand of you hate me for the rest of your life, I know I would. Paired for causing havoc. It was just a test ya know to see what a newbie feels. Some of the things that were said did actually hurt which was weird.

The main purpose of this was to see what newbies go through and maybe if we are nicer when they first joint his stuff won't happen. Sorry again....

I understand where you are coming from, once upon a time I nearly did something like this, and such. I agree that it was taken too far...etc, basically what I just sent to you in PM on the "other" account.

A survey or asking questions to new users, while maybe not as effective, likely wouldn't have caused such damage.

A bit of a shock, but at the same time, makes sense. It was hard believing Gooby was legit. Wouldn't have expected you though.

Yeah. Gooby was a more serious alt though. I tried to for the first months then turned into this one that couldn't stand being picked on anymore. Just to see.

I didn't think it would get this far out of hand in the beginning. I got caught up in the heat of the moment.

When Gooby returned, the spelling/grammar seemed better and further gave me the impression of an alt.

It was cruel yes and I didn't like it. I know it was unneeded but I just wanted to see how it would be like. But I want you to know my apology is sincere not fake.

You're Gooby? Wow, didn't see that one coming. Well, I accept your apology. Hopefully we all learned something: it isn't ever easy to be a newbie. Especially a younger one; and that we shouldn't be mean to newbies. They're trying to learn how to use the forum, and it's even harder for them when users aren't nice to them. It's basically a pecking order. It happened to me, and I know that it has happened to many, if not most or all, of forum users. The moral = treat new users with respect. You never know who is behind that computer, iPod, or God knows what. Could be an easily offended kid.
Rand, that was an interesting experiment with a risk of getting suspended or worse. This experiment has taught us so much about how hard it is being a newbie. It was very hard for me, and I feel their pain. So, my New Year's wish is for people here to be, well, nicer to new members. Although it probably won't happen, please be nicer to newbies, even if they annoy you. As stated before, I was having an ever-so-difficult time because older users were giving me a hard time. They were cruel, like they were to "Gooby". And one day I hope that changes. No one should be treated like that. So guys, please be nicer to newbies.

so, i guess i accept your apology. i honestly did NOT see that coming at all. maybe because i was actually trying to help 'gooby'. that was a pretty risky experiment, but i think everyone learned something here.

I'm actually kind of glad Rand O M made Gooby. So when an actual oversensitive brat comes along and does something like this, you guys can learn from this and ignore whatever they say that might piss you off. I have a friend who told me to my face that he thinks inter-racial marriage is an attempt to get rid of white people. Using me as an example because I'm half white, that I'm probably going to marry an Asian woman. That really pissed me off. A lot. But it's really hard to change people's views on things and in my honest opinion there's really no point in trying. All it'll do is start an argument. So I hope Gooby helped some of you learn how to deal with situations like that.
