You know, my mom works at this Pre K/Day Care center, and one time while I was waiting for her to get off, she put in one of my old PPG tapes to show the kids (they let the teachers bring stuff from home to save the budget), and I was watching it and I realized that the content in that show would NEVER fly these days. The fight scenes were so graphic compared to today's cartoons, and I just lamented silently at how pussified TV has become.

I don't know anything about most 90's cartoons, only ones I used to watch when I was little, like Powerpuff Girls and Tom and Jerry. Now, just from those two, Uncle Grandpa doesn't seem anything like them. I can't exactly put into words what bugs me about that show. You like Uncle Grandpa, fine, that's your opinion, I respect that. And I'm not saying none of the 90's cartoons look like Uncle Grandpa, just the ones I used to watch. Sure, there could and probably are lots just like Uncle Grandpa.

It's not the art style. The art style can be fine , it depends on what they do with the characters and story. Granted, it has yet to be released, I am simply saying I hope it doesn't end up like the huge difference and in my opinion, sorta demining to the original series like Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go. It could be very good, it could be worse.

I think dubbing Power Puff Girl Z would've been better.

I remember watching Blues Clues, Dora, Go Diego Go, etc. when I was a little kid. My brother grew up watching Ben 10, Bakugan, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. Hiw the times have changed. And over only 3 and a half years.

It said special, doesn't mean it will be a whole new show, it probably will, but it might not.

I might give it a try.
But I will say if it's like TTG I definitely won't enjoy it. I have seen a lot of TTG (because my brother adores that show so he watches it a lot while I'm downstairs) and I just don't like it much. There's a few episodes that are tolerable (like the Driver's Ed one was funny) but most of the episodes are too stupid and annoying for my tastes.

oh my god yes, i thought regular show looked stupid for this reason until i watched it and enjoyed it

I felt the same way with Steven Universe. I thought it looked stupid in the commercials because Steven's character looked intolerable for me, but I watched it and it's fairly enjoyable. Steven is a little irritating to me at times but not nearly as bad as I thought, he definitely doesn't taint the whole show and other characters. He's pretty adorable sometimes
