I don't know why people are so obsessed with getting girlfriends or boyfriends. Most people IRL and here that are obsessed with getting girlfriends/boyfriends are about my age. I mean, what makes everyone so obsessed about it? I've been perfectly fine on my own. I don't understand why it's such a problem for people my age. I mean, it's not like people are going to stay together for very long at this age. This bothers me, especially online. Idk why people think that having a relationship with someone they've talked to once will do any good. I've only felt close to one person, and they were on here, but I still don't get it. I wouldn't go into a relationship with anyone, I just wouldn't go THAT far, ever.

To be honest, my in real life surroundings are giving me reasons why is better NOT to have one. My best friend just got himself a girlfriend 2 or 3 weeks ago, and ever since then he's not the same. He talks even less every day, and it's starting to worry me.
Love leads to change, and I don't want to hit rock bottom with it.

It's especially worse online and much more prone to failure. I do, however, enjoy seeing people happy, but that can change pretty fast when one side collapses. But I also don't understand the rush to be in a relationship, either. I'm pretty passive for relationships and we're not quite ready to be in a serious relationship now anyhow easily because we're not even fully matured, and it's the truth.
