If anyone has more info regarding this including whether or not this is an issue to worry about, please post it.

Wouldn't be surprised, the Bad Egg is triggered by corrupt Pokemon data and if people are hacking a game which we still do not know everything about, well.
EDIT: Would also like to note, the Bad Egg does not act like a normal egg, you can send it out into battle. A lot of people saying "you can't trade eggs over wonder trade" do not know this.

Yes, this my main concern regarding this glitch. From what I've read it occurs sometimes when the game has some kind of error during Wonder Trade causing the Pokemon to glitch and turn into an egg that is from the "Mystery Zone" and was obtained on "0/0/2000". The egg will then multiply within whatever box it is in and override the Pokemon in said box. Try to release it if you can, otherwise, do not move it from the box it is in, as it will corrupt any box in enters.


So far, I have yet to see reports of this from any truly credible sources, so it could be a hoax.

Yes they can be.

The item was hacked, not the Pokemon. Therefore, the Pokemon was merely given a Rare Candy and level-up as a result of the effect as normal. As long as the Pokemon itself is not hacked, it should be fine. From what I understand, the Transfer does a check of individual Pokemon to see their legitimacy.
