It only seems to work once though. After that my new companion I won with stones stays there even though I travel ahead again

what date do i need to travel to to be able to get the companion as the top prize?

I got a Snow Globe House for about 30 stones. But yeah, it seems to be a one time thing. Happy New Year anyway!!

Yeah I just noticed that.......well once is better than nothing.

I brought this up before. I got Roller Brawl in the well. Since my son was getting her for Christmas, I didn't want to throw my stones for her (although, what do I need them all for, now?). I was hoping someone else could test it to see what they got and if it would change after getting the first item.

i tried to travel and the countdown on the well just ticked over to the next month.. any idea on how to do it?

I got Cali in future and it didn't change in present.

Do you still have Snowler Brawl in the well? The glitch only works if you have already gotten the grand prize for the month. And, to answer your previous question, you have to time travel to, at least, the first of the next month.

So when you came back, did Cali go away? Mine stuck, but too bad it was only Roller Brawl . Try it again. You can win her in the well in the future, and it shouldn't affect anything. At least, that's what I did last time. I kept getting Cali in the future, but never the present. Someone told me that you could win them in the future and it still work, so I tried it. Granted, they could have changed the coding on that on how the well resets, but I doubt it. If you win her in the future, she'll go into your inventory. When you come back, she'll still be there, and your game will eventually save (or you can do a manual cloud save). At the beginning of the month, the well should reset with the new prize. That's why I thought that if you won something in the well, with the new version of the glitch (since it doesn't seem to change), then when you travel back to the next month it would give you a new prize. If it doesn't, that concerns me for next month's alter ego. Although it could be because they haven't got the new alter ego programmed, and that will make it change, anyway.

I'm thinking this means the well is only going to offer skylanders or items you don't have in the future in place of alts. I hope not but it would explain these glitches two months in a row.

It offers anything you can purchase. Mine is a fishery.

Not necessarily. I think we thought that last month, but we still got a new alt. It's possible the glitch has always been there, but no one noticed. Most people who have time traveled ahead knew when the alter ego would be programmed in. We found out about the glitch because someone jumped ahead way too soon, before the later ego was programmed in. It's highly possible that no one has ever done that before to see what it would do. It seems that they even changed the programming a little bit as it doesn't change every time you jump ahead. That's not to say it won't happen. And it may be better off, giving us different ways to get the companions, especially for those who are way behind on them. I would think that they would eventually stop making alter egos. They're fun, and one of the most exciting part of the game, but I would think it would eventually bog the game down with way too many Skylanders, especially as they add new ones in for each new console game. But if they get rid of the alter egos, I would like to see something else for the well. Something that is exciting and new every month or at different intervals. With them changing the Hall of Legends to gems, though, I'm afraid they might phase wish stones out all together. But I hope not. As much as I feel they are worthless beyond the 200 or so a month, now, I still think they could come up with something new and exciting with them. But if they do get rid of wish stones, I hope they come up with some other great reward for the shrines to make up for it.

Well obidawsn I hope your right with respects to the glitch being there because it's too early. I would still spin stones but chasing the alt is fun. Why do you think the glitch is a one off only this time instead of multiple like last month?

It has not always been this way. Before the last glitch, if you went ahead before the new alt was in, the well just wouldn't reset. If you went backwards, you'd get the previous months alt - if you already had it, it'd show owned, otherwise you could throw stones and get it, which I chose to do when the game took two alts from me back during the save issue time period.

I think they are tweaking the code for the end of new alts in the well. January will be the twelfth, and it makes sense that they'd end it after that one. Maybe they'll keep the alt as the grand prize if you haven't won it but pick a random prize if you already have it. If so, maybe for March and April we'll get houses for boomer and hoppity.
