The Yoshi Award!
Some users are so full of cheerfulness they just make you want to shout, "B'riiiing, hup!" as you pound a pole into the ground. Wait, that doesn't make any sense? Who's writing this awful script? ...I am? Oh, well in that case, I'm hilarious. ^.^ Where was I? Oh yeah, something about an adorable dinosaur... dragon thing.

DAT A-... I, uh, mean, isn't it adorable? We should celebrate such cuteness throughout the internet. Let's make an award about it! ...Greg has just informed me this award is about kindness and I should, "Stop before I make a bigger fool of myself."

It's an impressive feat if you can manage to avoid loosing your temper on the internet. Important looking science stuff has told us that the average internet user has shaved 3 years off their life span through the fits of anger he or she gets from using the internet. I think it's safe to say this won't happen to Bash!

thumper
A very kind-hearted user, thumper is fiercely loyal to her friends and patient with many users on the site who other people would just throw up their hands and scream, "AUGH!" at. Of course, there have been a few moments lately where she's let loose a heavy dose of snark toward certain users, which may taint the judges' overall opinions of her.

DragonCamo
Know for his loving marriage to husband Seiki, DC is a very generous and helpful user. Of course, he certainly has his snarky moments and has had a few eruptions, especially if Seiki is not fond of the person either. Proof that spouses aren't always the most positive influences. Although if he wins then he owes Seiki a nice night of "thank you" SECKS. ^.^;

Though not always as active as some of the other users, crystalhero has a certain happy-go-lucky style about her. ...Greg is telling me not to make too many assumptions because I don't read the "Personal Thoughts" topic enough to know if people are just putting on a happy face. ...I just punched Greg in the ovaries for not telling me that before I started the blurbs for this award.

thumper! In spite of some instances of slipping up, no one keeps their cool and forces a bigger smile than thumper. I don't know if things are going well for you offline, but just having you respond to my posts makes me happy. And I'm guessing others feel the same way. So congrats. It's well deserved! ^.^

Avast, me hearties. It be time to set sail into our second batch of awards. Hoist the main sells and brace the deck, ye stinkin' bilge pipes. Today we search out the fiercest pirate to sail these here boards. This bloke be plunderin' and pillaging any topics he feel like, claiming der booty for 'is own. We be recognizing this pirate for 'is... er... piracy!

And the landlubbers are...

Brightscales
In a short stretch o' time, this wee lass done fired upon sturdy ships with her cannons stuffed with Shrek, GIRARD WAY, and talk of literal booty. Many a ship were sunk by this saucy wench, before the Dread Pirate dark52 done sent her to Davy Jones's locker.

Seiki
Y'arrrr. This fiery little sea dog uses his sacred treasure of yaoi to trap ships in a web o' utter chaos. No other pirate dare to square off against him, less they meet the end o' his yaoi blade.

Big Green
Another scurvy lubber. But this one often need the help o' her first mate, Rendar, in order to make innocent topics walk the plank. A true pirate can handle hisself or herself on the open water. So that may cost her the coveted booty.

And the landlubber readers be pickin' be...
...Brightscales! Alas, this cap'n be cut down in her prime. But she was the fiercest pirate around these here islands. No right scallywag would dare to cross 'er. Except for dark52. And he proved he was fiercer. D'arr harr harr!

The Unsung User Award
Not everyone pours in hours of activity per day to this website. Just because they don't doesn't mean that they can't be good, thoughtful, productive members of the forum. We dedicate this award in recognition of those whose few contributions are... *sniffle* from the heart. Because that's what counts.

And the nominees are...

Well, the guy runs the place. Of course, there are more active administrators out there. The fruits of his labor only bloom on occasion. Why am I talking about dark like he's a tree? I dunno. A wizard did it.

Project_Unnamed
Not as active as some of the other long-timers, but most of his posts are very philosophical and extremely well thought out. He's quite respectful of others' opinions and doesn't partake in much of the bickering that goes on. Certainly makes him a pleasant addition to the site.

Metallo
Originally, he probably wouldn't have qualified for this. But this activity level nosedived off a cliff around the middle of the year and never hiked backed up. Often introducing political discussions to the site, he has a lot of thoughts on current events. And I'm sure he's made several users who normally don't pay attention to the news aware of the state of the world. Which makes him pretty helpful.

Mrmorrises
Apparently nominated for a single string of spam topics in which he just copy-pasted the lyrics from one of the South Park movie's song, he will likely not win, but at least he can enjoy his two lines of textual fame. Alright, I'll add some extra text. <3

And the reader's choice Darky goes to...
Metallo! Yes, his sharp, somewhat controversial opinions, and insistence on his opinions painted enough of a big picture in the voters to garner him the award. Either that, or his recent spike in activity prompted people to vote for him. I GUESS WE'LL NEVER KNOW.


And the editor's choice Darky goes to...
Project_Unnamed! Maybe I'm being bias in that I'm not asking the opinions of the extremely active Skylanders boards. But frankly, their arguments are vicious and I think that trying to ask about a less active user who makes thoughtful contributions would be a fruitless endeavor. Why am I mentioning this in Project_Unnamed's victory blurb? Well I hadn't dissed Skylanders in a few awards. And I have a quota of bad Skylanders jokes to make!
