I work at TRU and these reports are fake. TRU has the exclusive first release of all Swap Force meaning we get them first before Target and Wal-Mart. Even this so called find report in Target in AZ, I don't see any images of them hanging on the pegs, no receipt, no actual proof other than a photo someone might have taken on the ground. Who knows where it came from or if he really took it? For all we know that could have been taken on the floor of the plant in China.

Don't go spreading rumors and setting false hopes sending people driving to stores for no reason. I am working tonight and I will check in the system for the UPC code and check the back stock room. If I find any proof I will take photos but don't get your hopes up. If we have them in the building or coming out this weekend (Which I HIGHLY doubt) I will report back.

Even the reports from Amazon France have now moved their release date back yet again to January 31 2014 and Amazon Italy has them at January 16 2014. With that said why would we expect to see them before them?

Frynohead; It's safe to say that letsy was telling the full truth. He's given us SO MUCH info already (Jade Flashwing's release date, Nitro Magna Charge pictures before his release, Scarlet Ninjini's release, etc).

Aye, Frynohead, no offense dude, but Lesty has been one of the most reliable sources for release dates throughout 2013. I'm not saying he can't be wrong ... it's possible. It's just that he has more credibility than almost everyone else on this forum with regard to Skylanders forthcoming releases.

I ordered them from Amazon Italy. The release date is actually December 16, 2013. I just double checked my order to make sure and no dates have changed. Amazon France however did push theirs back to January 31, 2014.

Hi. First of all, I have absolutely nothing to gain from sharing any information I learn about. My son is a skylander player and I only post any new info I get to help serious skylander fans on this board with news they want. I don't want anyone driving all over the place looking for skylanders where they won't be, plus...it helps everyone plan their budgets if they know when a variant might be released, or when a new wave is coming.
You are correct that TRU usually gets first release of skylanders. And it's possible that TRU will get the standard skylanders from wave 3 before other retailers. But I can tell you that TRU will not be first with Stink Bomb, Spy Rise and Rubble Rouser. It's not speculation or a guess. It's information that I know. And I could care less if you don't believe me. When you wake up on Sunday, December 29th, they will be out for one retailer, but not at TRU.

I agree I love spending time with the kids skylander hunting and nothing replaces their look on their face when we find a new one. Dealing with 1+ hour drive home after we go on a false lead, stop at 10+ places, and get nothing is rather grueling. Thanks a ton to those posting viable info we have had some great times.

I just spoke with an employee of a different Toys R Us and he independently confirmed they have a lot of skylander boxes marked do not open until 12/22. He further said they are for a promotion they will be doing. He said the crate was sized such that he suspected they were single figures.

Putting on my speculation hat, combined with the info from lesty, I suspect these are not swappable figures. They might not even be anything new, but rather just more inventory of rare items. But I am hoping these could be some new wave 3 singles. If he is wrong about them being triple packs, maybe they are arkeyan crossbow and/or sheep wreck island.

No idea, although it's conceivable that these are Wave 3 non-swappable figures. I have no clue.

In a sea of unreliable hearsay, you are one of few voices that actually holds water when it comes to upcoming USA release dates for Skylanders.

It's sad when they have more skylander keychains than skylander characters at Target.

Very close. That was the Aurora Target last night. And yes, it has been that way for about a month.

My Kmarts have totaled in closing state but was good for me they were closing.

So, it's getting pretty close to the 29th, has anyone seen any early leaks of the Swappers at Target so far? First thing tomorrow I'm going to my local Target and asking my friend that works in electronics to see if they have any in the back yet. I know they're probably street dated, but I'd just like confirmation that they exist...

Funny. Woodinville Target had a fair amount of swap force and giants last I checked, but none of the wave 3 cores or the soon-to-be-released swappers. I asked if they had any boxes in back with a street date and they had none. Mind you, this was before xmas. Also, they hadn't even heard about the exclusive for the 29th till I told them. I wonder what's going on? Why do some stores get this info, and then some get zilch?

Either way, I'm going to call daily about them and see. Since Dune Bug seems to be the one most plentiful in these boxes (though there could be a difference between TRU and Target on what's in them), when I do call, I mention him first. That way, they might be more likely to see it on the peg. Of course, just because it's dated to come out on the 29th doesn't mean all stores will get them or even open them at that time. Different stores seem to have different policies about stocking, ect. And as I've said before, Washington tends to be the exception to the rule that "the west coast gets it first". We might get it on time, or we might have trouble on the Pass. And even within the same company in the same state, you can have a varied output.

I've been trying my best to avoid TRU for most of my Skylanders shopping due to prices. Now, the legendaries? Fine. Getting those there (for close to proper-retail price) is the only way. But if I can get it cheaper at another store, why not? And if I have to wait longer, ok. I get frustrated with lack of info, but I can still wait and be a good girl.

I've seen them sell out of Scarlet Ninjini in about an hour of opening on day one with an ad. We'll see.

Target in Iowa had them in stock. I scanned them and there was more in backroom also. I bet if you go to Target and ask a stock person they will get for you. I am so glad I don't have to waste back to back weekends waiting in line for skylanders. Good luck.

I've no doubt they'll be offically out then. It's whether they'll be at my local Target on the 29th that I'm not sure of. They seem to vary on when certain items come in. For instance, they had Jolly Bumble Blast before the 8th, (though not on the shelves till that day). However, while there are those who've seen some w3 cores around already, mine hasn't gotten any.

The fact that they weren't even told about the 29th, even in a memo makes me concerned. Why are some Targets not getting this info? Shouldn't it be sent out to all of them?? It just doesn't make sense!

I just found all three at the Target in Delray Beach, FL. I got the last Rubble Rouser, but there were one or two more Stink Bombs, and several Spy Rise left there. The distribution is almost the opposite of what I would have predicted.
