I would run by your local Toys R Us. I just picked up all five wave 3 figures that were available. I stop almost every day on my way home. They had three Dune Bugs, one Hornblast Whirlwind, and two Smolderdash figures on the pegs. Started to panic a little because I thought they had already sold out of the others. Definitely wanted a Hyperbeam Prism Break. Asked a worker if they had any more in the back and told him that they had a street date of 12/22. He told me that the rest that they had were in a shopping cart. The cart was by the video game accessories and not by the Skylanders. I was able to pick out the five best paint jobs. Had about nine each of Smolderdash and Dune Bug and only two each of Prism Break and Whirlwind after I left. They were not street dated in the computer. Maybe your local Toys R Us has them out or maybe you can share that other Toys R Us around the country are releasing them early and you can convince them to sell you a set.

Got mine two days ago and most of the Wave 3's were out in the shelf yesterday at mine. After doing this for now over a year and going to several stores a week, this totally depends on the store and the Manager, etc. The only one I can't confirm and didn't find was Lightcore Countdown.

OK I don't want to ask a stupid question, but when you say everything except for LC , you mean you know where the rest are from the adventure pack to the battle pack too?

Checked to tru just now before they closed at midnight, neither had them out. Didnt bother asking for them as they were very busy stocking stuff and i have no plasn to go to these two tru on sunday as they are like 45min away from me.

What about LightCore Wham Shell?

The Toys R Us in Atlanta put some out this morning. I was able to get a Smolderdash, but everything else was gone when I got there.

I'm so tempted to see what they have wave 3 wise in the big TRU in NYC. My step dad is in the city right now, maybe he can take a peek. But it is overflowing with people though.

I really hope there is more than one box, my son wants Hyper Beam Prism break from Christmas, If there is only one Prism break out on the pegs, I will flip! It is supposed to be a present from Santa! As the same with the Dune bug, but I'm not worrying to much about that since that is a present from me.

Found some of Wave 3 at one of my local TRUs in the Houston, TX area, no sign of Sheep Wreck Island nor Stink Bomb though. Snagged S3 Whirlwind, Cynder, and normal Smolderdash.

your best bet is to find the biggest toys r us in your area, the 2 smaller TRU here dont ever put stuff out early so i decieded to go to Atlanta main store and BOOM as Flynn would say.

I remember earlier this year before I moved away was that I want to Wal-Mart one day looking for new skylanders when I saw Scarlet Ninjini. (Note: Normal Ninjini was not out in my area yet.) I was gasping because I didn't expect it to be out yet, and I really wanted her ever since I knew of her existence, so I brought it to the register and it said it was date-locked.

1. They had it on the shelf. That's lazy managing....

2. They said this happened to another family earlier that week. That's the icing of the cake of crappiness.

I hope they don't put it up early and date-lock it. I would hate to be majorly disappointing like that again.

BTW, I never got that Ninjini. I moved before the date-lock was gone.

toysrus in daytona beach has them on shelf already and they have more in back too just bought smolderdash/dune bug/hyper beam prism break/phantom cynder and horn blast whirlwind. prism and whirl were extremely limited!

oh and my toysrus usually never breaks dates so i was shocked!

Now I'm puzzled - Maybe a bona fide TRU employee can confirm or deny - Did they maybe only mark half the boxes "hold for 12/22 Ad Event" and half are just regular boxes? Could that explain why they're showing up on shelves? Or is it just stores ignoring street date? Because so far nobody's being locked out and denied purchases.

I feel very confident saying that there is no register lock-out in place for these, and that some stores or employees are simply ignoring the "street date" on the outside box.
This time of year, Toys R Us stores hire a lot of extra temporary employees, solely for the purpose of keeping the shelves stocked. It's not surprising that some of those workers either wouldn't notice a "street date" ... or wouldn't care about it.

I haven't had a chance to make it down to the Princeton TRU in a few weeks, but I'll check it out to see if they put wave 3 out yet. I went to my local Best Buy today and they had a great supply of wave 2 swappers including a bunch of Fire Krakens.

I wonder since this comes with 1 Zoo Lou, if this is the wave we see more of the Green Variant popping up. Otherwise it is overkill (even though it is just 1 in the box) since my 2 Walmart, Target, TRU, Kmart, Best Buy and 2 GameStops have plenty of Zoo Lou. Do you agree or am I the only one that see Zoo Lou everywhere?

The street date is, more or less, not one the system or activision themselves can enforce. The figures share the same assortment UPC as the others, so if they blocked some it'd block all of them.

People make mistakes. Most Employees just want to get stock on the shelves. Technically these figures can be sold already. They are not street dated. TRU Corporate just wants them to be held back for this Sunday's ad. This doesn't mean the stores will listen. My store is one that is, however. I have had a set of all five new figures put aside for myself for about a week now and have yet to buy them. I'm waiting for Sunday like everyone else.

These figures all have the same SKU number as the regular Corelanders. Only the Legendaries and Jolly Bumble Blast (and the rereleased Dino-Rang) have unique SKUs.

Nope, just S3 Cynder, Whirlwind, normal Smolderdash and Dune Bug.

When I was driving to school this morning I saw a TRU truck leaving my tru's parking lot. I hope wave 3 was in that truck!

very good chance your tru already has them in there electronics room for the ad event sunday, some that got a whole lot of cases are the ones that put them out early to not have there E room cluttered up and if some got them early it would make there ad event a little less heck tick.

That's what I did. I can wait another week for the Swappers, since it seems pretty reliable that they'll be at Target on the 29th. But after this long and still no word on the Adventure and Battle packs or the Lightcores, I just gave up and ordered them from Amazon. The bit of extra money is worth not having to deal with slogging through all of the false Wave 3 rumors and the hassle of having to keep hunting with no success. I've said this before and I'll say it again: Seriously Activision, how hard is it to just pick some release dates for all of the Waves and just announce them?!

As much as people complain about the mystery of release dates, it helps to keep people interested.

If you plan on getting the cores on the 22nd, probably smart to call your TRU and verify that they have them in stock, what time they open on Sunday, on whether they'll be selling them the night before, since many are open till 1 AM on Saturday. I spoke with an employee at my TRU yesterday and he knew they had plenty of them and predicted they would last till early afternoon Sunday for sure. He also was confident they weren't putting them out the night before. Nobody there seemed to know what time they'd be opening on Sunday though. I'll call back for that.

Even though it's going to be Christmas gifts, I'm taking my kids with me early Sunday morning. They love the experience of 'hunting' and I don't want to rob them of the experience.

the company just announced that all stores would be opening at 6 am saturday and saying open 87 hours straight thru to christmas the ny tru hasbeen open 24/7 since dec 1

Stopped by my local TRU yesterday just on the chance they put these out early. Nothing new was on the pegs, so I asked an employee and he checked the store room. From the door I could see regular Smolderdash sitting on a shelf, so I pointed him to the ones I was looking for. It looks like they didn't have shelf space for so many boxes, so they opened up at least one case and had them loose on a shelf.

The employee was able to find all but Hyper Beam Prism Break. Either it was hidden somewhere else or was already purchased. He said I could buy the four I wanted since they were out of the case, but that he couldn't open another sealed case until the 22nd ad event. From my view I could only see one sealed case on their shelf.

I hope they have more than one case on Sunday morning, since Prism Break is only one per case...

I sorta like the mystery release dates too. The people that don't know means less competition for this guy! ; )))))

I'm from St Louis. Both Mehlville and Sunset Hills are sticking to their guns about 12/22. What sucks is though they'll be open 24-hours by then, they might not start selling until 6:00 am. Nobody seems to have a definitive time... .

Went today, store was madhouse. Ppl thee knew nothing about skylanders, i checked all the boxes stores above on the 4 aisles myself. Saw nothing dated 12/22 unless they are in the back. If they did put them out in this store they are all gone as it was a mad house.

The Skylander Dad got Rubble Rouser, Stink Bomb, and Spy Rise as well as Sheepwreck Island from Amazon.it . I assume he used Amazon Prime to get the free two day shipping. The "rest he was referring two I believe is the HBWW and HBPB and the Battle Pack correct me if I'm wrong
