So recently I have added a ton of friends. Although I still have room for more.
I first bought Admiral Thumpback as I only had 2 waters, so obvious choice.
Now I could get Gurglefin next, however with Halls of Legends no longer using wish stones, they are pretty much only good for the Well right? I'll have more than enough by the time the next Alter ego rolls around.
So my next thoughts were to use them on the Sheep Topiary, or the Vacation Bungalos. I imagine the Vacation Bungalows would eventually take up too much space for the small amount of Mabu they add. So the trees seem like the way to go?

You could buy companions Batterson and Avril to really boost your kudos production to new heights...

I would start with the sheep topiaries, they deliver energy every 4 hours and give 10% boost to building XP . I have tons of kudos, but I won't be spending them on the bungalows. They simply take too much space, and only deliver a small amount of XP (75 every hour). I'd rather save gold to buy the most expensive buildings instead.
Although I am swimming in my kudos, I am waiting for the devs to come op with brilliant new items that you can buy with your kudos. So I keep collecting..... My thoughts: - Character House to buy with your kudos - New skylander(s) to buy with your kudos, just like admiral thumpback - New house, with a good XP boost - and why not buying an extra island with your kudos?!?!? I don't mind paying a lot of kudos for it, that makes having a lot a friends very usefull, and it would challenge you to visit your friends as often as you can :-)

I thought about buying the topiaries, but then decided it wasn't worth the space, since I have lots of energy, and it would be a pain to collect from them (or, at least, a bunch of them). But with Diggs, I'm not sure. How much energy could you produce from topiaries in a day? Could you produce enough (or near enough) to run the Molekin Market?
Edit: Nevermind, I think I figured it out. Although it would help towards getting enough energy to run Molekin Market, it's not nearly enough to make it worth taking up all the space for. I usually have plenty of energy to run all my balloons and sanctuaries. So I think I'll stick with using gold, unless we do determine that energy provides for gems (as one small sample seemed to show). I've only gotten 25 gems each time, so far. |

You get 10K energy every four hours I believe, so if you collected 24/7, you could get 60K a day.

The best bonus from the topiaries is the kingdom XP bonus. You can really increase the XP from your buildings by surrounding them, if you're still trying to level up. If you're sitting at level 40, not quite as useful.

But didn't they just introduce a new feature for those at level 40 that you can get gems for filling up xp meters? That would make them useful, then. Speaking of which, I know Giant/Alt/Sidekick houses stopped producing kingdom xp once you max your level. Do they, now, continue to give kingdom xp because of the new feature? |

The sheep ad up to 10k energy per 4 hours. Free.
If you put the sheep in a line, they are very easy to collect. And if you are not 40, they are priceless.

Yes, they did introduce the new incentive to keep building XP past level 40 - we'll have to see just how good it is in terms of reward and time to do it, but it's much better than nothing. Thankfully, I haven't seem any XP come from any of my houses since they added this. I'm just as happy to keep getting the gold.

Thanks guys!
I did get Gurglefin, but would never purchase Avril/Batterson. Waste of gems. I decided to get Gurgle because I can throw my extra stones into the well and hope for good stuff. Out of my 180-190ish I threw in, I got 1 tavern and 1 fireworks. That was it. But now that Wish stones are worthless (at least for now) I figure I could try to win stuff that'll speed up leveling at least like the taverns and hope for some shrines. So you can have up to 100 sheeps? I guess I'll start adding those! Sadly like 1/3 of my friends gift while I gift everyone. I don't suppose there's an easy way to find out who's gifting and who's not, other than waiting a full day without collecting gifts? |

I changed my name to midas73 in game (it was that on the forum too). Just got back from vacation. I will dig up my spreadsheet, but what's the question?
