I figured the bright orange tags on the W3 boxes also meant that they had it locked on their registers. Apparently not.

Awesome luck, Morgan!

Your situation will not be the norm, but of course it will get people excited for this weekend's release date!

I visited Toys R Us this evening, and the manager showed me the "do not sell until 12/22" boxes". They were locked-up in a metal cage.
I'm surprised there wasn't a register lock-out when you tried to buy them. But perhaps with the busy atmosphere of the holiday shopping season, maybe inputting register lock-outs didn't happen as efficiently as intended.

Regardless, nice find, Morgan! Many will be jealous. Have fun with those!

Agree that Dune Bug and Cynder look amazing in person. Prism Break is also very cool looking in person. Found the five new corelanders at my local Toys R Us in Southeast Michigan.

I thought I would chime in being a long time viewer. I first got into Skylanders early in 2012 when my 3 year old at the time started to play. I live right outside of the DC area in Virginia and am very lucky with many stores down the street. The biggest lesson I have learned since October 13th is that it all depends on the store and the manager if they want to sell early. In the last few months I have got to know a few folks at some of the stores so they would let me know when my son and I can show up if we are looking for someone rare, etc. Have had my Wave 3 folks we wanted for two days now and last night my TRU started to sell the Core members. Most stores stick to the street date because it usually takes an over ride to permit the sale. Depending on the store, you should have no problem finding Wave 3 tomorrow at least at TRU and the 22nd everywhere else. Hope this helps someone.

Have Stink Bomb, Rubble Rouser and Spy Rise now in Singapore which is a surprise. Took a month for wave 2 to appear here.

Ia am mad because at my local WalMart we don't even have Wave 2 yet. And it's been 2+ months since the game came out. I don't know if it's because I live in Kansas, but my friends in Texas already have access to wave 3!

Wave 2 is at walmart.com could site to store them to avoid shipping cost.
