Funny Mori. Sad thing is there are many that will take your sarcasm and run out to the stores looking for these figures.

It's not sarcasm! I'm serious! Read my prior statement again! I AM 100% SURE THAT GIANTS WAVE 3 WILL BE ON THE SHELF BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

I still think that Mori is joking around. He said that "GIANTS WAVE 3 will be on the shelf before Christmas".

Ok, so it sounds like it's pretty much been established for the releases of the Core and Swapping figures. I guess that means we'll have to wait until January for the Lightcores? Ugh, I hate it when they split up the waves... What about Sheep Wreck Island or the Arkeyan Crossbow? If they're not coming out until 2014, then I might just order it from one of the European Amazon websites...

Giants huh? I sense lies in your words young one. And who incinerates boxes that could be used for something else? That's just my opinion on burning boxes tho haha. There must be alot of stealing at your store without them cameras to see the thieves huh?

This is the absolute garbage hearsay type of post that should be condemned, if not banished, from this section of the forums; period.
My instincts tell me that Mori-Dog is intentionally being facetious, possibly with good-humored intentions, but it amounts to trolling, and there is no doubt that some less analytical users will believe his post was sincere. And therein lies the major problem with hearsay/rumors types of posts about upcoming releases.

I am personally convinced about the 12/22 date at Toys R Us. I have been to three different Toys R Us in my area and all have independently confirmed they have boxes in the back that are street dated 12/22.

In one store I asked them if they had any boxes in back, he looked, and came back and said all they had were some that were marked 12/22.

A second store I spoke with a manager who said that all the new stuff they have is marked hold for 12/22.

In a third store yesterday, I was looking for a wave 1 figure (2 for $22 deal) which was not on the shelves. I asked one employee to look in back for some wave 1 boxes, and his manager told him no, they were all hold for 12/22. It took some explaining to work out I was not interested in the new box, but old stuff, but this was completely unsolicited.

All three stores independently supplied me with the 12/22 date, I did not give it to them.

All this combined with the other info in this forum convinces me that cores will be 12/22 (likely everywhere, since gamestop also seems to have 12/22 date), and then Target exclusive on the swappers 12/29.

Look, BahamutBreaker, I agree with you for the most part (about rumors, not Mori-DogMovies) . I know you are trying to help. I like your signature. I think it's an attitude we could stand to reflect on periodically. Yes, there's a problem. But at the end of the day what's the worst that happens? Someone runs to the store and doesn't find something? TRU gets some phone calls? An employee gets paid to go check the stock room? I'm not saying it isn't frustrating or that we shouldn't try to curb it. I know it's like playing whack-a-mole trying to stop rumors, but this is going to be an ongoing issue no matter how we handle it. Maybe we can and should do better, but when we start using words like "condemned" and "banished" I just don't think that's doing better or helping the cause at all.

A.) I'm not young...by far.
B.) My "incinerating boxes" comment was part of the "destroying evidence to keep from proving anything" joke
C.) I don't work in retail anymore...did for 16 years and there is no force on this earth that will make me go back.

I have to admit that a wave immediately after Christmas was a huge miss on Activision's part.

Well, after Christmas, people (ie, kids) will theoretically have money from Santa/Parents/Family. It's actually not a bad idea if it ends up paying off. To me it always seemed like the time around Christmas into the new year was when the figures would disappear altogether and when stores would have a problem of getting/keeping stock on the shelves.

That is the time when kids get Christmas money or have gift cards or return an item because they already have it, and what better way to spend your money on something you don't have because they were not out before Christmas. Kids will be tempted and have a choice to buy something they did not get for Christmas (Kids always want more than what Santa can bring) or buy a new release that has never been seen at a store Pre-Christmas.

I hate to say it but Acti... may be on to something and I would not be surprise if this in the norm for years to come. I say I hate it cause personally I would like them all before Christmas.

yep----right one Dinoah. That was always so much fun. Going to the store after the holiday and spending my Christmas money.

Clearly Activision doesn't have some guy in a cubicle making haphazard decisions about when they will release things. I am quite sure there are many people working in their marketing dept making decisions based on what will make them the most money.

Ok I got my cores from TRU last night - Now to stalk Target for swaps! Is it likely that stores already received the boxes and are holding them, or is it more likely they won't receive shipments until later this week?
