I was actually getting a haircut and running various other errands including seeing if Wave 3 of Swap Force was out. Taking advantage of my day off. ^.^

I can hear the tumbleweeds!

Bowser leans over and spews out a wave of fire, forcing back all 8 of the heroes. Paris fans herself from the intense heat. The Koopa King laughs and fires out another stream of fire. The ground catches ablaze and the heroes jump back. Cynderfan karate chops the air and a wave of psychic energy ripples across the grain, extinguishing the flames.

"Gwa ha ha ha ha! What a lousy shot. Didn't even hit me." Bowser raises his hands above his head and they glow with dark magic. He points them at the heroes and fires out bolts of electricity. willspyro erects a barrier of shadowy energy and deflects one of the bolts. Another strikes CG in the side and knocks him out cold. A third careens toward Ash Starkindle, who jumps over it. chained skull sticks out his arms and Ash lands on them. He catapults her forward and she stomps on Bowser's head.

"Oof!" The hulking Dragon-Koopa grunts as he shakes off the hit. He leaps into the air and slams back on the ground, sending out several shockwaves. The heroes jump over them but Bowser tosses out a barrage of hammers. Several conk Ninpire on the head and he collapses to the ground. "You've gotta be kidding. These are the wimps who gave all my troops this trouble? What a joke." Bowser plants his left foot forward and spews another stream of fire. willspyro rolls to the side and sends a couple of shadow balls toward Bowser. They dispel the flames and blow up in Bowser's face.

The Koopa King roars in anger as smoke clouds his vision. This gives Paris time to pull out a large hammer and whack Bowser in the shin. "Eyouch!" He screams, grabbing his hurt leg and hopping up and down on one foot. Bowser, hopping mad, turns his attention toward Paris, but a rock thunks off his scaly shoulder. He looks over to see Seiki readying another small rock.

"Hey, doofus! ^.^" Bowser roars and stomps the ground. Spires of earth blast up from the ground, heading toward Seiki. The distraction allows chained skull to pull out a small, spider robot. He tosses it to the ground and it silently scuttles over to the Koopa King. It quickly maneuvers in between the Koopa Kings legs and lets out a loud beep.

"Hurngh?" Bowser looks down to see the tiny spider bot before it explodes, searing Bowser's butt and causing the floor underneath to break apart. Bowser yelps in pain as he's launched into the air. The other heroes back off as the ground beneath him continues to crumble. He lands on it with a loud THUD and the ground further crumbles away. His eyes widen and he looks up at the heroes.

"This can't be! I'm the King of Awesome. The greatest boss in all of existence. I can't be defeated by a bunch of chumps." He cries.

"Muh ha ha ha ha ha ha haa! Then it's a good think I'M here, isn't it?" A shrill voice echoes across the area. The heroes and Bowser all look back before a beam of dark red energy fires out from the shadows and strikes the ground in front of Bowser. The floor is completely blown away and Bowser, in the middle of it, falls, screaming, into the abyss.

"W-What just happened?!" Paris gasped.

Play & Repeat

A volley of laser fires launches from the shadows forcing the heroes back, where they turn around to find 5 Stalker Turrets positioned behind them. They look forward to see a dozen Grodus Bombers float onto the scene and standing at the center of them is Dr. Grodus with DragonCamo by his side.

"WAIFFFUUUUUUU. <3 <3 <3" Seiki cries. DragonCamo ignores him.

"Doctor Grodus? I don't understand." Cynderfan gasps.

"Don't you get it?" CG sighs, having woken up from the previous fight, "He's here to hijack the plot."

"IMBECILE!" Dr. Grodus screams, causing the two Bombers on either side to float away from him. "You're assuming Koopa was in charge in the first place. Did you REALLY think a MORON like him could have commanded an army of robots like this? HA HAAA!"

"What are you saying?" willspyro asks.

"The space kidnapping, Antastom's creation, G-Enterprises, seizing control of the world, imprisoning the Yoshis and turning them into slaves, and harvesting the dark matter... IT WAS ALL ME, DOCTOR GROOODUS! MUH HOO HOO HA HA HA HA HA!" He elbows DragonCamo in the ribs. "Can you believe these chumps fell for this?"

"Of course not, sir. I knew from the start that you were the twit who could out-twit this bunch." DragonCamo sneers.

"Ha ha ha ha ha haa!" Dr. Grodus laughs, dancing around in circle. "Yes, but there was one thing I never counted on. Those of you I abducted actually returning to earth. Quite the conundrum. So I recruited Bowser to be the face of my little operation while I went about conducting my EVIL schemes of NEFARIOUSNESS! And you were none the wiser."

"Yeah, you completely had them fooled." chained skull cuts in. Everyone turns to look at him.

"Ah, I knew I was forgetting something." Dr. Grodus gleefully continues. "Yes, when my sentries saw your little brigade forming I knew I had the perfect opportunity to take Bowser out and bring you all down in one fell swoop."

"Th-This doesn't make any sense. You mean you knew about our movements the whole time?" Ninpire gasps.

"Of course! And it was all thanks to my WONDERFUL little minion... CHAINED SKULL! MUH HOO HOO HOO HA HA!" chained skull steps forward and bows respectfully to Dr. Grodus.

"Wait, so all that stuff about Bowser attacking your village, that was a lie?" Cynderfan cries, on the verge of tears.

"OF COURSE! And you MORONS took the bait, hook, like and sinker." Dr. Grodus cheers. "Even that police agent, Troll Slug, couldn't figure out there was a mole in the group. Truly an ingenious plan worth of the genius of me! Muh hoo hoo ha ha ha ha ha!" Dr. Grodus steps forward. "Now, chained skull, bring your so-called 'friends' forward so I can give them what they so richly deserve and give you your reward." chained skull nods and motions to the Stalker Turrets. They lead the heroes forward to the edge of the large hole overlooking the abyss Bowser fell through. The turrets all grab hold of the heroes, including chained skull. His eyes widen and he looks up at Dr. Grodus, his face burning with anger.

"Hey, what are you doing? WE HAD A DEAL!" He hisses.

"I'M AN EVIL GENIUS, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?" He yells, dancing around happily once again. "Muh hoo hoo haa haa! I hope you have a nice trip and I'll see you next... faaaaall! Muh ha ha ha ha!" He elbows DragonCamo again. "Did you hear that, DC?"

DragonCamo sighs. "As always, your humor eludes me... sir." Dr. Grodus snaps his fingers and the Stalker Turrets let go of the heroes, dropping them into the sky below, screaming in terror.

Anyway, night's over. WHO SHALL LIVE? WHO SHALL DIE? DETAILS AT 11!

The heroes careen down through the sky, screaming. With the exception of Ash who, predictably, is whooping and hollering. They hear a voice crackle through their phones. "Hang on, Rookies!" They look over to see Bruce's and Zephyr's plane fly into view. A grappling hook shoots out and wraps all of them up...

...Except for Paris, who yells all manner of colorful swears that is certainly not appropriate for this story as she plummets to her certain doom. "Aww, shucks. And she was one o' the gooduns!" Ninpire exclaims. His declaration causes everyone to turn and face chained skull.

"You were working for Dr. Grodus the whole time?" CG growls. "Of all the awful, terrible..."

"Hey, the guy just screwed me over. I'm not exactly his biggest fan right now." chained skull hisses. "Now I want him dead as much as you do."

"Why should we trust you?" willspyro inquires, glaring suspiciously. "How do we know this is not just another ruse that Dr. Grodus has put you up to!"

"Because if these guys hadn't saved our butts just now, I'd be dead too." chained skull points out.

"Hmm, liek, why didn't he just shoot us? He had us outgunned. <.<;" Seiki points out. Before anyone can answer, an alarm sounds throughout the plane.

"Rookies, we got trouble!" Bruce calls over the PA. "Grodus Troopers are assaulting Kremling City! It's the last place on earth Bowser didn't have his grubby paws on."

"You might want to rethink that statement. Bowser's dead." CG corrects.

"You mean you did it? Then what's with the attacking?" Zephyr asks.

"Dr. Grodus was playing us all for fools." chained skull grumbles. "He's likely the one instigating the attack."

"We've got to get there on the double and help them out. Hang on tight!" Zephyr calls as the plane zooms off into the distance.
