Well if its for wii then you can only get Eternal Night and Dawn of the Dragon.
However with DS there is Shadow Legacy, A new beginning, Eternal Night and Dawn of the Dragon.

For Wii I'd say Dawn of the Dragon, its two player and you can fly!
For DS I'd say Shadow Legacy since the game is only out on the DS and I do like it!

Well the only "original" Spyro game you can get is for the DS which is Shadow Legacy, and that's not all that great in my opinion.
See if you can get a PS2, and perhaps get A Hero's Tail as that one is more closer to the first three and would probably be easier or cheaper to get, and doesn't have as many "annoying" glitches as the one before it.

If you are able to play Gamecube games on your Wii, then I'd say A Hero's Tail and A New Beginning. (you could get Enter the Dragonfly, but it's not the best game). Otherwise, Eternal Night and Dawn of the Dragon.

If you're able to plat GBA games on your DS, then I'd say Season on Ice, Season of Flame and Adventure/Attack of the Rhynocs (whichever it's called where you live). Otherwise, Shadow Legacy or the 3 Legend of Spyro games.

Get a Gamecube controller and play the Gamecube games on your Wii. That way you can play A Hero's Tail, Enter the Dragonfly and the The Legend of Spyro trilogy.

My wii is compatible with GC games.
My DS is compatible with GBA games.
How fun is Dawn of the Dragon?

Except for the part where the best version of A Hero's Tail (framerate wise) is actually on the Gamecube, which he CAN get and play on his Wii. It really depends, I-Brawler. If you're looking for a kiddy version of God of War's hack-and-slash combat, then sure, get A New Beginning or The Eternal Night. If you're hoping for something more in a similar fashion as Skylanders, then A Hero's Tail is your best bet.

Well I don't know much about Nintendo's consoles or games, I'm not a fan of Nintendo. I'm a Sony boy, always have been, always will be.

Emm... I don't know... If you have played the first games, then you should get Shadow Legacy and find a way to play A Hero's Tail. But if you haven't play any Spyro games, then go and play The Legend of Spyro trilogy.

Provided you have a Gamecube cotroller, I suggest Enter the Dragonfly ('Cause it's better than A Hero's Tail in my opinion.) or A New Beginning (Because it's the first in the LoS trilogy.)
If no GC controller, and/or if you have a friend to play with, buy Dawn of the Dragon. (I don't like it very much, but It's 2-player.)

The best one you could get in my opinion would be 'Spyro: A Hero's Tail' for the GameCube.
I'd also recommend 'Spyro: Season of Ice' for GBA, and 'The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night' for Wii.
