This day's winner is... nobody! Due to a tie. What a pity.
HCI presses a button on the flight joystick and streams of lasers fly out. The heroes all leap to the side, dodging the leftmost laser, but HCI reverses the ship's direction and floats back toward them. Once again, they leap over the leftmost laser, along with the rightmost one. "Grrr. Stand still, see. I'm trying to kill ya, here."
"Well maybe we don't want to be killed." Paris harrumphs, reaching into her backpack and tossing a large rock at HCI's ship. It
tinks off the ship, doing absolutely no damage. "It was worth a shot." She sighs.
"Worth a shot? Sounds like a swell idea! Aha ha ha!" HCI laughs as he fidgets with a couple of buttons in his cockpit. Compartments open on top of each laser blaster, revealing a pair of Bullet Bills. HCI fires off the Bullet Bills and shoots of the lasers again. The Bills immediately home in on the heroes as HCI begins to sweep the lasers across the ground once again.
"SUPER NINJA JUMPING SKILLZ, GO!" Seiki cries as he leaps into the air and lands atop the first Bullet Bill. It plummets harmlessly to the ground and fizzles out. Seiki leaps onto the other one and it follows suit with its predecessor. Seiki continues his forward path and slams into the glass cockpit, causing the glass dome to spiderweb and completely obscure HCI's vision.
"Huhwha-? What kind of nasty trick is this, see?" HCI growls. "That's playing dirty."
"Coming from you, that doesn't mean much." CG scoffs.
"Yeah? Well we'll see how you like it when I shift this baby into... OMEGA EXTREEEEEEEEEME MODE! Aha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" HCI cackles as he furiously presses buttons. But nothing appears to happen. "Huh? H-Hey, why isn't this thing doing anything?!"
"What's the matter? Yer ship outta juice?" Ninpire heckles.
"I'm out of juice. Can we get some later?" Ash pouts. The ship suddenly starts to sputter. The heroes stare in confusion. CG looks over and notices chained skull facing away from them, hunched over something looking like a walkie-talkie.
"H-Hey... what's going on here? Why is this happening?!" HCI grumbles, fidgeting desperately with the controls. He looks down as the computer screen in the cockpit and briefly sees a large, gold, italicized "G" flash across the screen. He only has time to tilt his head in confusion before his ship bursts into a massive fireball.
The heroes all hit the deck as shards of flaming shrapnel fly out in all directions. Cynderfan peeks up and screams, "Look out. That shard is heading right for us!" A flaming, spiky piece of debris careens right toward...
