According to the person that made this article (Known as buzz on here) found the 3 newest Swappers at his local Target.

Well, theres your wave 3 then.

I was going to walk into target today cause i was waiting to pickup food, but i didnt. Watch they got them!! Oh well (more then likely they didnt)

No, but sneak ability Skylanders does make for a whole new gameplay experience. Is that worth waking up for?

Gotta keep my eye out for them in the UK...

Wow, having gotten used to Disney Infinity, the idea of no street dates is weird/kinda cool. If you see a new figure put out, you can actually just go buy it!

Actually infinity figs have street dates, at least for Wal-Mart. We had to wait on both Jack Skellington and Rapunzel before they could be put on the floor.

Yeah, and Wreck It Ralph and Vanillope had a date at Best Buy and Target too. Last week Crystal Lone Ranger and Jack Sparrow were also dated (my TRU put them out early and apparently some customer freaked about it and gave them a very hard time when they wouldn't ring up). In fact, I can't remember the last Infinity thing that wasn't street dated (and typically pre-orderable).

They definitely are taking the lead on the distribution aspect of these games. I was hoping with the predictable Legendaries and Jolly that Activision was trying to turn a corner on this, guess not.

A lot of the Disney Infinity characters are getting 1 month exclusives at particular stores.

Jack Skellington was at Game Stop first
Woody, was at Wal-Mart First

Should be the same 1 month exclusive:

Vanellope is Target
Wreck it Ralph is Best Buy
Rapunzel is Wal-Mart

I like the concept of pre-orders on the Disney Infinity items, I only wish Wal-Mart honoured them... sure delay my order by two weeks and on the same day I received the message I see it in store. Suffice to say, I hit cancel on the pre-order saved the shipping and got the in-store item ASAP.

Oddly I usually know when Skylander stuff is coming out, my problem is that Infinity just does not have the same coverage, even TRU does not seem to have a clue as to their plans.

I'm debating on weather or not I should check TRU for wave 3 again tonight, stocks were relatively low yesterday

It's a why can't Skylanders ship as predictably as Infinity thread.

To both of you, that was my point. If you see an Infinity figure out before its street date, the register will not let it run through -- thus taking some of the fun out of the hunt, though.
Sounds like with Skylanders, there really is more excitement to figure sightings, because if they don't have street dates then it just comes down to getting your hands on a new fig.

Just let it be di will always come up as it is the only real other toy similar to skylanders (maybe that pokemon game if you count it). I'm sure if EA or sony came out with some weird game that did it too it would come up here as well. Comparing the two is fine, making post about just DI... belongs in offtopic or a di forum (which sadly i cant find as good a di forum as darkspyro is to skylanders)

That's funny, I had a guy at TRU tell me that Wave 3 wasn't coming any earlier than the 28th, and he seemed pretty knowledgeable also. I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong or anything, I'm just puzzled by people giving out different dates. I have the same opinion as many other people on this board: Seriously, how hard is it to just announce some street dates and just stick to them?!

I still think the official release date is tomorrow. It wouldn't make sense for one store in the US to get Wave Three all week. Better call my Gamestop again to see when they get their shipments...

No luck here. The UPC code on Spy Rise matches to the others.

None of the usual signs of a new wave showing up other than EBay users that are either from Europe or their auctions use the European style hooks. Looks like the HDRoom guy got really lucky and may have scored one from a mistaken early shipment.

By this time I would have expected more sighting from the users around here, auctions with US style hooks and indicators from retail employees. I think we are close, but no banana ... yet.

I believe in another thread, a GameStop employee believes that they received a big Wave 3 shipment, but he couldn't confirm it at that point in time.

In Toys R Us today, an employee went into the back and said they had some Skylander boxes (he thought they looked like they contained single packs) that were marked do not sell until 12/22. (I saw a wave 2 triple pack in target today as well, see other thread). They had about 20 jolly bumble blasts in toys r us as well.

December 22 eh? It sounds legit to me. It looks to be a Sunday(why must it always be a Sunday!), so let's hope for the best. And if they are street dated, then scalpers aren't going to get them before us(I hope...).

Usually because sunday is when ads start and ppl go out looking for stuff. They could possibly be in that sundays ad, who knows. Would be a good draw to get ppl in with only the 22nd, 23rd and 24th to get last min xmas stuff.
