I was at Walmart yesterday and I thought I had found something great, a Star Strike on a Zoo Lou card!



Then I picked it up and discovered that she was just taped on a Zoo Lou card. GRR!

I looked around and found 2 Skylanders taped together, a Zoo Lou below the portal machine which recently fell apart I guess, and two just hanging up by their bubbles. I cannot tell if it's lousy packing or just destructive customers at play. Still it would have been nice to have a legit package error Skylander. Has anyone else experienced stuff like this at their favorite Skylanders shop?

I was at Toys R Us in Atlanta a few hours ago and saw the Spyro/Chill/Zoo Lou pack with a backwards card.

I didn't think to take a picture, though.

Has anyone noticed that Hoot Loop seems to have the most trouble keeping his upper half on in the packaging?

I saw a Dragonfire Cannon pack, and Shroomboom was missing the mushroom in the slingshot.

I returned to get it one day, but it fell off the bubble.

well you know that Hoot loop has free rangers catch pharse on the front right but enchanted hoot loops has it correct on it and yes i have a few messed up backing skylanders.

TRU have done that with some of theirs before. They prefer to staple them back on, though.

One of the first things I noticed was how easy it was to separate the bubble from the cardboard. Notice this more with Giants series than Swap Force, but I'm sure they use the same glue and processes.

Hoot Loop does seem to be the one that is falling apart.

Just yesterday I saw a Target shop have a SSA Cynder sticky taped to a Stump Smash backing - got a tad excited for a moment, given that SSA is being run out at $7 there.

I found a loose Rattle Shake in my Walmart.

I saw a Crusher in the plastic holder, sitting there at a Walmart. They almost let me have it for free, but they saw that it still had the UPC on the bottom.

Found a Swap Force Triple pack with a Giants cardboard and vice-versa at TRU. I told them, they took the packs away but I came back 1 week later and they were still there.

Stop blaming the stores and blame who packed/sealed these.

All the time! Ppl return the weirdest stuff. I've seen a free ranger taped to a lightcore purple packed box.

I see these all the time at Walmart. Figures just sitting in the plastic part with and without the card. The other day my son found a disney infinity figure on the portal just left there, didn't see a box anywhere and asked the electronics cashier, they assumed someone just left it there and let him have it.

Its not just ppl returning them it is the ppl in the stores too. ive seen it first hand them stapling stuff back together and id say about 25% the time they don't even see its to the correct box art. Ive seen triple packs with different figures, ssa warnado in a swap force box, giants figures in swap force boxes. They tend to use the lightcore backing ive noticed i guess cause it lacks the art to match up the figure?

I guess if you're looking for special variants, it's good to check Walmart first because the employees don't know the difference?

That may depend on the walmart and the employees etc.

The glue on these doesn't hold up at all it separates and falls apart all too easily and unfortunately, most people don't know what they are and just try to combine the parts together the best they can.

Makes the whole "keep everything mint in package!" ambition of some folks meaningless as it'll fall apart entirely sooner or later.

You look at the packaging wrong and it all falls apart--hence why I don't blame clueless staff if they do the best they can when it's clear the packaging is defective.

The Infinity packaging is solid as a rock. They could learn from them on that.

I saw a S1 Drobot with only two legs on the base. The rest was shaking around in the box.

I've noticed that the cardboard quality has gone downhill since Giants. Spyro's Adventure was perfect, Giants was very fragile, and Swap Force is just paper-thin.

How can a Walmart exclusive be sold anywhere but Walmart ?

Simple; People buy them in massive quantities, and attempt to resell them for 3x the original price.

toywiz is run by scalpers. Once I saw they were selling a loose rare pokemon card for $80.00! With skylanders around they're making even more money now!
