Just wait...

"Ugh. I'm tired of fighting all of these robots." Troll Slug sighs. "I just don't think I have it in me to press on."

"You sure you're not just saying that because the author's getting tired of writing fight scenes?" scratchking proposes. The island erupts in a massive quake, causing the Grodus Troopers to fall off and explode in the water. Everyone turns and glares at scratchking. "Right, right, 4th wall breaking... sorry." He sighs.

The main doors of the Bowser-shaped building open up and 3 Stalker Turrets poor out, firing streams of plasma blasts toward the heroes. They all dive behind the outer wall of the detainment camp and the shots harmlessly fizzle against the containment grid. However, this has wedged the group against a large outcrop of rock, pinning them into a corner. The Stalker Turrets fan out and start closing in on them.

"Crud! We let ourselves get trapped." CG gasps.

"Dooods, dis, liek, blows. >.<" Seiki sighs.

"No... It isn't over yet." chained skull mutters.

"What do you mean?" Prex gasps.

"This..." chained skull growls before he produced a small rocket and slams it into Prex. He gives the rocket a solid kick and it launches toward the Stalker Turrets with Prex in tow, screaming hysterically. An explosion tears the turrets, and Prex, to shreds.

"Ooooooh! That looks like fun." Ash cheers. "I want to ride next."

"H-How could you do such a horrible thing?!" Cynderfan sobs.

"The rocket needed body heat to stay active." chained skull huffs. "And Prex had just been dead weight since we left the battle arena. I did it for the greater good. Stopping Bowser's what's important... at any cost." He growls. As the two argued, the containment field dropped down and the Yoshis let out a chorus of triumphant cheers. Paris comes sprinting back to the group.

"I... got... containment field... off..." She wheezes. "Need... water... and... foot... massage." She gasps as she collapses on the ground.

Play & Repeat

The apparent leader of the group of Yoshis runs over to the heroes. "Thank you so much for all your help. Is there anything that we could do to repay you for your generosity?"

"We need a way over to that there harvester." Ninpire exclaims.

"Hmm... in the past, we could get our dolphin buddies to ferry you across. But since Dr. Grodus left the island in this state that's beyond impossible." The Yoshi Chief explains. "I suppose WE could do it, though."

"You guys can swim us over?" CG inquires, giving them a suspicious look-over.

"Heh, of course!" The Chief boasts. "What do you take us for, Isle Delfino Yoshis?" He pauses and looks away sorrowfully. "Actually, I shouldn't have said that. Dr. Grodus enslaved all of them long ago." He sighs. "Anyway, let's get you to that dark matter harvester. If you trash it, maybe the island can return to normal!"

Dark Matter Harvester

The Yoshis speed along the surface of the icy water, the heroes position carefully on their saddle-like shells. They see a small ladder leading up to a platform and they all leap out of the water. The group dismounts and the Chief turns to face them. "We'll try to help you any way you can." He assures.

"Thanks." Cynderfan says.

"Just one question. How are we going to dismantle this thing anyway?" Troll Slug inquires. He looks over to chained skull. "I don't suppose you've got anymore explosives?"

"No." chained skull mutters. "Besides, I've got a sneaking hunch Dr. Grodus crafted this specifically so that explosives wouldn't work."

"Let's head up to the top and see if there's anything that may offer a hint." Paris suggests as she grabs hold of the ladder and ascends to the top, the rest of the group following her. They emerge on a wide open metal floor and can hear someone cackling. They look over to see a familiar skinny Koopa waiting for them.

"Hee hee hee hee!" He chortles.

"Hey, yer that Kardonis varmint from back in Shell City." Ninpire notes.

"Ah-ha, so my GENIUS has left an impression upon your feeble minds?" Kardonis smugly raises an eyebrow. "Then it's almost just a little bit tragic that I have to show you to... dramatic pause... your DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

"Geez, why don't you ham it up a little more?" CG dismisses with a casual shrug.

"Fool!" Kardonis yells, pointing an accusatory finger at the heroes. "You dare to mock my threats? I am Lord Bowser's greatest, most trusted servant. He's the best! And he's going to win. Which means that YOU have to lose."

"We shall not let such a thing happen." willspyro refutes.

"Hmph. You guys are lousy." Kardonis scoffs. "Unwilling to stick to your assigned roles as LOSERS." He yells, plastering his fingers in the shape of an L on his forehead. "Then I'll just destroy you, and then Bowser will love me even more! Hee hee hee hee hee!" He stomps on the ground and the floor underneath him folds away to reveal a giant mechanical control terminal. "It's time to dispose of you, worthless little peasants. Prepare to meet your DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

Welcome to Day 7!
Today's game mode is... Kardonis's Challenge of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
It's a fight to the finish. Kardonis's machine has 200 HP. You can whittle it down by correctly answering questions. Each correct answer will deal 10 damage. However, if you answer a question incorrectly, you have a 50% chance of getting hit by one of Kardonis's attacks. If enough attacks hit you, you're out of the challenge. If you skip the question, you don't have to worry about an attack hitting you, but you miss the opportunity to deal damage.

Whoever deals the final blow to Kardonis wins immunity. So, there's a bit of timing involved to this challenge. Do you rush to answer the questions right away? Or wait and hope to land the last hit? In the even that all of you are knocked out before Kardonis is defeated, it's GAME OVER. And you don't want that to happen, trust me.

We had to do this writing thing in English where write, then pass the paper to someone else who builds on it. So the story was about noisy neighbors and this kid went to their house and the mother appeared. My friend made the character say that "Her face looked like crayola puked on her" so I built on that later, making characters say stuff like "I thought she was what hospitals used to make babies cry" and "They used her in the circus to make lions lose their appetites" then finally, made a character ask "What does she use for makeup?" and made everyone say "Crayola crayons"
