Rather than engage in necromancy, I figured I'd start a new topic for this business.

Unfortunately the best date I have for this is the end of November, and that's only a rough guess. I don't suppose anyone else has any better approximations?

There has been reported sightings of Wave 2 in Sydney, Australia. It is mentioned in this forum topic:

There are also links to a few websites that state Dec 5 as the release date. I would assume that NZ would get them around the same time or a little later.

I myself (and people i know personally) have not been able to find wave 2 in my area.

At least one Kiwi store thinks they are getting wave 2 05/12/13:

I had an interesting chat with a chap from JB Hi-Fi. He mentioned that the NZ supplier actually holds on to the stock for a while before letting them have them, because it uses up so much shelf space- and I’d imagine that’s true for EB to.
With that in mind, I’d watch Mighty Ape and The Warehouse – simply because they have less pressure on shelf space and may get them in sooner.

Just found the double packs (Night Shade and Boom Jet, and Fire Kraken and Grilla Drilla) at the Brisbane Myer Centre Target.

I got one of each; leaving 2 of each on the shelf.

Well, I've got the local EB getting in touch with me when they get their stock in, so that'll be good to hear. That said, I'm going to keep an eye on the Warehouse, they have never disappointed me in getting decidedly rare figures in! I'll let you know when the Hastings branch at least scores the goods.

A variant? In New Zealand? At the same time as everyone else? Holy crud, I think I'll keep an eye out for that.

I found EB trailing behind JB and Mighty Ape in getting the new waves. DSE seemed to get them in the fastest, but they seem to have ditched the line.

anymore sightings guys checked all my local major's and no wave 2

The XB-ONE starter kit isn't even out in NZ yet, so no freaken clue when wave 2 is coming.

Do you guys think it's appropriate to start discussing Wave 3? Apparently, wave 2 is supposed to start coming out at EB Games stores in AU tomorrow, everywhere else a week later. I wonder when we'll see wave 3.

Did anyone in NZ find wave 2 yet?

Told some time in Dec for Wave 2 in NZ by a chap in JB Hifi - not sure how true that is.

Last number I heard was December 5th, though I'm not going to hold them to it. This is EB I'm talking about by the way, so we may yet see things before in other places.
Personally? I'm going to hit Ebay for a few Wave 3 goodies rather than wait for the eternity it seems to take to hit New Zealand.

I used EBay for Giants and ended up spending way more than I needed to. This time I'll wait.

Have looked at 4 EB's and was only able to find a single Riptide from wave 2 (which I grabbed).

However, a Brisbane CBD JB Hifi had some of the following:

Riptide
Scorp
Heavy Duty Sprocket
Anchors Away Gill Grunt

Grabbed entire W2 at EB kingsway in WA

All wave two I've seen has been sold out. Got Boom Jet just because it was the last one but I really want the double pack

Saw an Enchanted Hoot Loop but couldn't bring myself to get it as I have Hoot Loop.

Another note saw a Scarlet Ninjini last one there so i had to snap it up. never seen her in stores ...

The two EB Games stores in the Brisbane CBD had wave 2 three packs.

K-Mart (Lake Haven, NSW) had the four new large characters in Wave 2.

But they didn't have any of the following eight smaller characters in Wave 2. Although, JB Hi-Fi (Penrith, NSW) on Mulgoa Road, did have them.

I'll display a rare burst of optimism and hope it's true! I'm still holding EB to December 5th, I'm on good terms with the guys at my local branch, so they'll probably hold onto a few for me if they get em.

If the store is in both Australia and NZ, it'd be helpful if you noted which country you're in.
Mighty Ape (for example) is a NZ site and Toys'r'us aren't in NZ, so if you're talking about them you don't need to elaborate. But when talking about JB or EB, it's good to know which one.

Guys I went to EB GAMES (nz) Wave two is probably next wednesday they said

I'd bet Friday in NZ, since that's when Mighty Ape has Jolly - if that's when Jolly in coming in, I imagine the rest of the wave is coming with him.

Its EB in Australia, Victoria to be exact.. They still have some on display too..

Just had a word with JB Hifi (NZ) and they suggested that the new wave (and the next gen versions of the game) were supposed to be in on Friday - so they could come at any stage this next week. However he also said that Mighty Ape gets stock from the same supplier, so it's very possible that the dates Mighty Ape are giving are correct.

For the record, just saw a fair few Jolly Bumbleblasts as a JB in the Brissie CBD.

In a JB-Hifi flyer it showed Jolly Bumble Blast but I went in and they said they havent got any word of a vaient. Bummer

JB at Carindale (QLD) had a few jolly bumble blasts on Sunday I got mine at JB. Wave 2 is now at some stores Buranda Target had it on the shelf, picked up the two triple packs @$24 ea they also had all the single packs:
Scorp, Heavy Duty Sprocket and Twin Blade Chop Chop
Star Strike (Non LightCore), Anchors Away Gill Grunt and Big Bang Trigger Happy
Also they had plenty of the 4 new guys Boom Jet, Fire Kraken, Grilla Drilla and Night Shift
I'm going to wait for the next triple pack I thing Rip Tide is in?

For Kiwi collectors, it looks like Mighty Ape is now listing both the next-gen version starter sets and Jolly as 13th. I'd be shocked if that wasn't the date of NZ's wave 2.

Brisbane CBD Target had more Jolly BB's than you could poke a honeycomb at.
