It seems the bundle will be $269.99 tomorrow, savings of $30 PLUS you get a $50 gift card. This was a Nintendo email that came today, but can't see it on BestBuy.ca or Futureshop.ca

Not sure if the gift card is for the store (most likely) or Nintendo eShop, either way its awesome! Also after watching an unboxing, it seems Nintendoland is a physical copy and not digital....added bonus!

If you search Wii U on bestbuy.ca, you can see the discounted bundle.

Gah, I'm torn. If only that model was a 32GB I'd probably take the plunge. Sad to say outside of the two Mario games and the upcoming Smash bros, there's just not a lot I want to play on a Nintendo console this generation.

I did purchase the Swap Force WiiU bundle at Futureshop. Paid $298 with taxes, they gave me a $50 gift card. Used it to buy the Zelda 3DS game, I had planned to buy anyway. Sold the 8gb WiiU for $175 surprisingly quickly to someone (Christmas gift for his 65yr old father!) I somehow lost my copy of Nintendoland, so the copy that came bundled replaced it. I had also wanted to get the WiiU version of swap force....so all things considered this was not that bad to get the green Wash Buckler!!

I went to Best Buy today, and one of the reps told me the $50 gift card is an online-only promotion. The sale ends Dec 5 so I still have a few days to decide.

The key difference between Wii U models is the 8GB vs 32GB storage, correct? Plus some stands and accessories? Do you expand the memory by flash cards, or can you attach an external hard drive?

The $50 gift card is in store as well, you talked to a misinformed person. The big difference is the storage as you said, a couple of accessories and the digital promotion where you get money back for buying games digitally (I think it's 5% back or something, I don't buy digital but the promo is only included with the deluxe models). You can expand the storage with an external drive.
