Pokemon anime rant! [CLOSED]

Now listen before i start i start this rant i know that this should not be in the game section but i put it here cause i wanted it here.

I really think people need to shut up about how 'Pikachu should be level 100!'
'Levels' as far as most can probably tell, do not apply to the anime. It did in the very first series or at least in a specific episode anyway, but it's too much of a hindrance for the anime.
Think of it like this:
Pikachu is strong, but when Ash/Satoshi goes to another region, the Pokémon there are much stronger, even from the very beginning. So Pikachu might as well be like a starter in the games, 'lv 5' or something. And if you went to a new region/country wouldn't you just wanna enjoy being there instead of stressing over battle strategies its like if you went to France for work (which the kalos region is based off) wouldn't you just wanna relax for a while?

And please don't bash me with your replies

Don't worry, I won't bash ya. It's just that I don't get the concept of pikachu taking down a Latios yet losing to a snivy, pokemon logic is just weird, but I do agree with the theory that he resets his level back to 5. I just wish the anime was better, crisp and clean, not a little kids show, I dream one day whoever makes the anime series realises that the black/white 2 trailer was better than the entire anime (excluding Sceptile beating darkrai, that was just badass) And make a new pokemon anime using red or the protagonist of the game or just make ash as badass as red (which will never happen).

And about relaxing, he actually did. In the first episode of Black and white he went to unova for a holiday with professor oak I think, but decided to explore the region.

They only do the whole "level nerf" type of thing for the new players who want to have their journey "with Ash".
Hence why Ash always gets the starters and the bird of the gen. (Along with the fact he never ages )

*Walks in*

They handled the 'starting new again' thing really well in the Pokemon Advanced series.

Long live Pokemon Advanced.

Its most likely that the new pokemon put him in awe and they start doing things he hasnt seen before and is unsure how to deal with at the moment.

Also, how do you know for a fact that Snivy was level 5? In the anime, TONS of things are different, it could've been a Level 100, you don't know. And also you can't say "eh, don't bash me bleh", nobody has to agree with you.

I agree with Joe, I'm pretty sure every time a new region is introduced in the anime they say something like the newer Pokemon of the region are 'stronger', so that's why Ash wants to go there, to get stronger himself.

Good example is when he fought Gary's Electivire after he completed the Battle Frontier :V

So the professor is going to give a beginning trainer a level 100 snivy at the start of his journey? Sounds legit

About as legit as a Pikachu who was unconfirmed to be Level 100, turning to Level 5.

Maybe the pokemon trainers of the new region are well good trainers. There have never been confirmed levels(I think) in pokemon so it is even game for anyone.

I didn't mind it at first in Unova, but when Pikachu, an electric type, got K.O'd (or badly hurt. I can't remember what happened exactly) by a freaking water type attack by a mere Panpour, that's when I thought it was a disgrace. That water gun should have had hardly any effect, not send Pikachu literally flying across the field.

At least Pikachu losing to Snivy can make more sense because electric does little damage to grass.

How about we just think about as no levels, just moves. So the trainer can be strong even from the beginning. Based on how the trainer makes the pokemon perform in battle
