We do words of the year?

Interesting. I wonder what was the word of the year in 1764.

I'm genuinely worried for the 2000-2010 generation.

The world will be so messed up......

Hopefully as they mature, they will realize how stupid they've been, posting a bunch of crap about themselves. I myself have never posted a picture of myself online, and don't plan to. They won't get any jobs as teenagers.

Sorry if I offended you, It wasn't right of me to judge everyone just from my experiences.

95% of the kids I met are like that Back where i used to live. Now living in the middle of nowhere, kids are bought up hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. That's something everyone needs a little more of in their lives.

The only person I know who uses selfie regularly is around thirty or so years old.

Honestly, I think the majority of these reactions are over-reactions. Look at the theme of Oxford's former word of the years. Notice something? It's all related to the use of the word and how steeply it rose in popularity in so little time. It should also be noted that plenty others host word of the years a well. There's not one authority on "WORD OF DA YEAR" and it shouldn't be taken so seriously.

In that case, excuse me while I go make an advertising campaign to increase the use of the word "kvetch" in casual conversation so it can win. ;>.>
