Not sure if this is actually intentional or meant to be something that the devs are going to allow to happen in Dec but I time travelled to see if the new alt for Dec was going to be in the wishing well considering people will be on vacation (I'm assuming) next week. Traveled to Dec 1st, and guess what.......the well had a new item in it. It was a scout house, not a character though. Not a great gift so I traveled back to the present and it actually remains in my well with a negative countdown. So I win the scout house after about 80 stones, not bad. Travel back to Dec 1st, well updates with ANOTHER item. This time however it's not an item, it's a companion.....the new brothers for the swap force. I was STUNNED and immediately won them after just over 100 stones. So I travel back to the present and then back again to Dec 1st and this time it was a house lol. Tried it several times, long story short I got Cali, Arbo, the new bros, 3 scout houses, 1 giant house, stone house and more.
What appears to happen is it will randomly take anything from your companion or list that is still available to purchase. In just over an hour I've won over 5k gems worth of items. This has to be a glitch but maybe the devs are being nice and this is the dec present

Nothing for December would be programmed, yet, including the alter ego or anything in the well. It looks like a glitch that time travelling creates.

I think it may be one of two things:
I didn't have a bunch of stones to throw, but I cycled back and forth a bit to see what it cycled through: HQ, B&B, Stone House, Adventure Airship, Dragon Lair, Dark House, Castle, Chompie Gift Shop, and Tavern. |

That's was my initial thinking about a prevention but originally u could unlock the new alt but when you travel back to the present the alt would disappear........so that kind of takes care of that issue. It has to be an error from changing the well back to normal from the wishing weekend. If it was a prevention, I've obtained 3 companions that are worth over 5k in gems alone.....then a dark house, 3 scout houses, and an air ship. Only took 800 stones. It's not working as a prevention lol. |

The one time I tried time travel, I lost my timed quests which in this case involve three shrines. Not going to take chances but it sounds tempting.

By prevention I was referring to traveling backwards in time to retrieve missing alts. I chose to do that last month when 5 skylanders (2 alts) disappeared from my list - instead of waiting on the support process and submitting screenshots, I just respun for 3 and time travelled back to wish for the other two.
I hadn't tried going forward to get the next alt. |

That would be so cruel if the monthly alts stopped. before my first game got corrupted I had all but one alt. when I was told I had to start a new game they said I would have to wait for the alts to cycle back through to regain them. it's bad enough I can't even get enough wishstones to get bash this month but to lose out the chance to regain the other alts I lost is just plain wrong.

They may be trying to put emphasis on shrines again. If this is permanent, then people can go through 1000+ stones vs just needing 200 to get the alter ego.

That list of things is just the other 'big ticket' items you can win in it, it probably just picks one at random if there's no alter to pick. Doesn't mean there won't be one, just that it hasn't been put in yet.

Not really. I've never seen companions as a top prize. It's also including the other Skylanders. I keep going back and forth hoping for Cali. I got her up once, but it was in the future time, so I was afraid it might mess up the game if I did it, then. I've gotten Flynn a couple of times, but I'd rather have Cali. I started with 600+ stones. The first time I got Granite Crusher and threw in 100 stones before I realized I'd be better off to keep trying for a better prize. I kept going until I got Cherry. Then I got a Dragon's Lair. I kept going back and forth until Birthday Bash's house came up. I almost filled my meter up with that one, so I'm not really sure it was worth it, especially since right after I got a Dark House. I only have 1 Dark Skylander, so I decided to pass it up in hopes to get Cali (and I'm only down to 200+ stones). Even though I only have 1 Dark Skylander, I probably would have rather had the Dark House since they are so expensive. Although the alter ego houses aren't always available, so I'm OK with it. I've seen Avril and the new duo companions, but I'm still holding out for Cali. |

That's some glitch. It's desperately unfair to put candy on that scale in front of us and expect us to ignore it. I'm afraid I broke. A castle, Arbo, Ol Mac, Gorm and Tuk. Got the castle just because it looks nice. Only missing some alt houses now, but the well glitch keeps offering Dragon Lairs, HQs, Dark Houses, more Castles and Bed and Breakfasts which I don't need.
I was wondering if it would be rather amusing to place in the midst of all your friend's kingdoms - one real chest. You'd have to go clicking on all the chests that are displayed, but only one would respond by opening. What do you think a suitable treasure might be? (The first person to suggest a special offer to purchase gems gets smacked upside the head...) |

I currently have Ol Mac cued up in my well. Even though I somehow have almost 800,000 energy saved up, I decided to go for him, anyway. I don't normally go full force with my sanctuaries (only use about half of them), so he might help me with that. I've also went ahead and picked up the elemental totems that get sucked in through the time-space continuum, and with Cherry, that's given me a lot more stones. I wasn't going to worry about them, until I realized that this is going to cost me a lot of stones I ended up getting back to over 400 stones, so I thought I could afford to try for him and still, hopefully, have enough for Cali. Even if I spend all my stones, I should still have over a week to build up enough for the new alter ego for December.
P.S. Having Ol Mac may actually get me to open up my air sanctuary. Believe it or not, I'm almost to level 37 and still haven't purchased the island with the air sanctuary. Since there are so few air Skylanders (I only have 6 witih one giant), I haven't really worried about it. I was getting concerned with my space for a bit, especially when I started getting all the community building quests. But since I've picked up a few B&Bs in the well (I picked up a couple more over the last day), I haven't had to build a lot of buildings in order to get the mabu I need. I've pretty much decided to just wait and see if I get more B&Bs in the well before I worry about building the community buildings. |

It really is easy, you just have to keep one thing in mind........the only way to time-travel is by air. I'd advise you think about it carefully however because as some have mentioned there are unintended consequences (like timed missions disappearing). Others find that adventures suddenly take 2 weeks which can easily happen. So just make sure you understand it could negatively affect your game (most problems can be fixed easily however) |

If you're going to time travel, it's really useful to have at least one sidekick. If you fail to wait for a chompy plant to disappear or not see one and drag it backwards in time, you'll have an enemy that will dig COUNTLESS holes. Your kingdom will end up looking like a moon made of swiss cheese.

I ended up getting Cali, last night. I still had 200-250 left, this morning, so I thought I would try for one more companion. Since I won Ol Mac, I figured Ermit would be a good choice. It only took me a few tries to get him to come up. It took me over 150 stones, but I finally got him. So with Cali, and an Ol mac/Ermit team, I should be pumping out lots of gold. I'm not sure I want to try for anyone else, right now. Flynn and Arbo are probably the only high value ones left, but neither seem like that good of a deal, as I feel like the timings we have, now, work well for me. And if they are arbitrary times instead of just half off, I would think it would make it harder to keep up with timing your adventures with the crops. But maybe I'm wrong about that.

I see no value in Arbo.
Flynn is pretty nice. The 4 hour becomes 3, the 7 to 5, the 24 to 16 and most notable, the 2 hour becomes 1. If you have Wheelock, that 1 hour mission pumps out 1250 exp on an airship. By contrast, the 7/5 hour mission gives 2500 exp. Flynn really shines leveling up characters and knocking off those mission quests. I paid gems for my Flynn and I don't regret it (well, gems accumulated in game...but still that's a lot of saving..)

Arbo is quite possibly the most overpriced companion. After you get ol Mac, that was enough for me. Cherry is the next overpriced but that's because she does nothing for me. But oh well, now I have all the companions and max darkhouses so I'm happy.......and sad because nothing left to purchase until they get some of those houses out of the vault. Now I have a whole island filled with dragon/dark/giant/alt/sidekick/legendary houses.........gem making factory. |

I never cared for Cherry, either, but I'm glad she was the first companion I won because she helped me build my stones back up. As for Flynn, I might have to consider trying for him. I have less than 100 stones, though, so I'd be taking a huge chance on running out then save up enough for the alter ego in a little over a week.

I do wish I had saw this before I caved and got Flynn, Cali, Arbo, Cherry, Ermit and Ol' Mac last week. It sucks because I always get stuff JUST before I can either get it half price or for free. On the bright side, I've managed to get 3 of each shrine bar water, which I've only got two. Plus a few houses that cost gems that I didn't already have, like the castle.
Anyone know if past alter ego houses can appear in the well as a top prize?

I've been playing for a year and the only time I have ever time-travelled was to collect XP two weeks out so my buildings would stop generating them when I was at the 30 and 35 level caps (I couldn't stop clicking the damn things even if they were useless, so I used that as a way around it). This piqued my curiousity and after spending 600+ stones last weekend chasing my last two alters: Lucky Boomer and Buddy Wrecking Ball, I did some playing with time and ended up with both of them as top prizes and won them with less than 250 stones total.
I will say this "glitch" seems to take care of a lot of things complained about here on the forum: excess stones, overpriced companions, probability of winning past alters, and doing something for loyal customers (aka people who are on a forum for an iOS game). I've never seen the well do this. Maybe there won't be a December alt and big ticket items will just be the gifts for the month? Unrelated to the well issue and more on time travel, I have always been perplexed by people here who get SO MANY pods, sugar bats, and totems. I play a lot most days and hardly get any, I went three days without seeing a single sugar bat, but now I see most of you have to be time traveling because all I had to do was do it once and bam: 4 sugar bats, 7 totems, 5 chompie pods and lots of sheep in less than 10 minutes. At least I feel less unlucky now.

As long as you do it before the time ends. Once it ends and is out of your quest list, it is gone, forever. I made the mistake of doing that a couple of times. One wasn't that big of a deal, as the reward wasn't that huge (at the time, it might have been, but nothing like a shrine). I was only a couple of trolls away from getting it and time traveled for some reason (don't remember...I think it was the first time I'd done it). That was a long time ago, and I forgot about it. I was working on getting the Nitro Magna Charge timed quest, last week, to get the Tech shrine and decided to jump ahead and check if there were any specials for the next week and then realized I had erased all my quests . But that ended up working out with this "glitch", as I didn't have to worry about losing the quests, and along the way, I won a few shrines, anyway. As for my latest try, I thought I might be done, as I was down to around 200 stones, but I decided to try for Flynn. Wheellock ended up coming up, so I decided to go for him instead, knowing he would be very valuable if they raise the Skylander level cap above 15, as 14-15 is already long enough. I'm glad I did, as I ended up winning Buddy Wrecking Ball's house and another B&B along with a few other top items (a Tavern and Fishery, which I have so many of, already). I also picked up another Blossom Tree. I almost sold the first one I got the other day, not realizing it was so valuable with the 10% xp bonus). I'm wondering if I had accidentally sold them off before not realizing it was different than the other typical trees. |

They won't be in the top prize list. The companions pop up as the grand prize. Every time you jump ahead to the future (Dec. 1 or beyond), go to the well. Then return back to the present and go to the well, again. The grand prize will change. Keep doing that until you get the grand prize you want. The tricky part is if you get the prize you want in the future. When I was going for Cali, she came up several times while I was in the future, but I didn't want to go for her, as I was afraid it might mess up my game, as it would create a save in the future. It might have worked, but I didn't want to take the chance. I'm not sure if anyone else has tried it or not. |

Now I wonder if I should have tried to go for the new duo. It seems, lately, that they have been having a timed quest the week after with a free shrine. So I wouldn't doubt that we'll get another one, this week. Although, the companions I did get were still worth a lot more than them and a shrine combined.

If you're time traveling, DON'T COLLECT ANYTHING! If you do, it resets the collection counter based on the 'current' date and time, so when you travel back, you'll have to wait until you get back to the future the long way. Of course, to fix this, you just need to travel far enough ahead in time that you're able to collect again, but DON'T COLLECT. Then, when you go back to the correct time, things will be ready to collect and you can continue as normal. Just remember Marty McFly - time travelers should only be observers or everything can get messed up! |

That's the trick people usually don't understand......to be safe never collect anything until u go back to the present. The way it works is if you start an adventure or collect xp the timer for that item uses the current time so when you travel back it adds 24 hrs to the timer for every day you traveled to the future. The easiest way to prevent problem, don't collect or start anything until you are back. |
