I just bought a Boomer off ebay for $23.50

How would you rate that deal wise?

Not really here in NJ every TRU has him and they are always running a special right now swappers are 3 for 35.

Boomer is NOT everywhere, in fact, he's nowhere.

Was he new or loose? That's an OK deal, but it's kinda bad.

not a good deal considering my sources in distribution say, "series 1 will be popping back up at walmarts, TRU, and some other retailers those are the 2 that seemed to order most" this person said. this person said "that's maybe how the new crystal whirlwinds are being found". this person has seen many boxes of swap force and still no variants. good job wreckingballbob! I thought by now I would maybe have 1

Was that $23.50 including shipping? If so, I'd say that's a deal for an out-of-print figure.

We're seeing some SSA figures pop up again in my area around Toronto, so I assume we'll eventually see Boomer again - it would make sense for Activision to circulate the old figures since they're all programmed into Swap Force. Whether the figures will be available in any decent quantity is another thing.

If YOU think you got a good deal, that's what matters.

I live in NJ and haven't seen Boomer figures at any TRU! If anything, NJ is scalper central and if Boomer or Darklight Crypt were to ever grace the shelves of a retailer, it'd be bought up very quickly.

Same here. If I saw 100 Boomers at a Walmart, they would all be gone in a day.

That was not a bad deal at all but I have heard alot of rumors of original skylanders making there way to shelves again very soon!

I picked up ghost roaster and boomer at a toy show two for $5,thats a great deal!

yeah, if you consider the traveling time and the cost to NJ from VA. then also risking not to find it, its not a bad deal...

if it was not like a walk straight from your home to this 'toy show' it was a good deal, no doubt about it.... but if not also tell us your traveling expenses, if that is like 20-30 dollars, it sure wasn't that a good deal...

At this time just factor in how much gas it would take you to hunt, if it included shipping and that your hunting is done as it works well I'd say it was. Any hard sought after figure you nail within the 20-25 buck range seems feasible.

Just letting you know that my Boomer has arrived. The packaging was...surprising(It was in one of those bubble envelopes, lol) but it's unharmed and works perfectly.

I hate it when shippers do that.

No. Here in Washington, local gamestops and walmarts are filled to the brim with SSA figures. Especially boomers.

Sure, the next time i go to gamestop.

I just went to TRU yesterday, and they still had the same old SSA stuff, a bunch of cynders, hexes, stump smashes, and the three packs with ignitor/warnado/camo, a couple boomers.
Gamestop, havent been there recently, sometimes they have a bunch of SSA figures, some locations are more frequently restocked.
At walmart, they actually completely remodeled the skylanders section, replaced to Xbox display with it. A lot of the SSA figures were put on clearance, and now they have a lot of wave 2 swapforces.

Definitely the next time i go out, i will snap a couple of pics.

I spent $50 each for my 3 Boomers, but they are mint in box. I feel confident that both Boomer and GhostRoaster will make a solid re-appearance in S1 form next year. Just a feeling.
