I think we all know this, already, but this week's Super Tuesday is actually "Super" with 2x gold and 1/2 off airships.

I am debating on the airships. I have close to 400 gems (393 at the moment), so I could afford to pick up a couple. Just not sure if I should go ahead and bite, and if so, for how many. Not sure if there's anything else planned, coming up. 50% off companions were this past weekend and the only one I bothered picking up was Ma-Boo (even though I didn't need him, he was really cheap). I currently have 13 balloons (at level 36). I guess they are worth it at 100 gems, and I'd like to get them early enough to get more of the 2x gold from them, today. Just not sure if I should spend or save for something coming up.

I guess we don't know about next week's Super Tuesday or even if there's going to be a Thanksgiving/Black Friday event. I figured it would probably be included in whatever update came out this week, but so far there hasn't been one. I'm hoping it's because they're working on something special. Which makes me think I should save my gems.

I'm struggling with this decision too. I'll probably buy 1-2. Haven't decided yet...

Well, I think they are a good investment at that price. Usually they cost 400 gems and now, only cost 100 gems (75% less). I've bought 2 balloons, and that so far I had never bought any.
It's a way to get some extra gold without spending too many gems, because, in my case, I can't afford large investments like Cali. They also increase the hero XP (25%), which is a little help to level up (I had a hard time to upload my skylanders to level 13, so imagine upload up to 15....)
Extra gold means to you can spin before to get a new skylander, each skylander means 1 gems when you level up ...... a little inversion......

The balloons are huge. More money to buy new Skylanders to fill those balloons that already leveled up all your old characters because of the extra 25% XP.

I went ahead and broke down and bought one. I may just stop there, for now. They'll probably come up, again. I want to make sure I have gems for any specials that may come up next week.

I hope that will be better than "the birthday": Companions were too expensive for me (I didn't got extra-gems from the glitch because my game crashes if I visit) and the wishing well has proven to be a scam to those gamers who are at high levels, it was impossible to get any alter-ego....

We don't know anything, yet. Even time travelling to next Tuesday gives us nothing as they haven't released an update, this week, yet. That should include next week's Super Tuesday and possibly any Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend specials.

I've got 10 that I collected slowly over time. I don't regret them. The Swap Force characters have certain missions that make missions a gold stream as good as sanctuaries. With airships, they get even better.

I probably won't add more than 10. I mostly focus on running my best characters (10 airships + 24 in sanctuaries).

Big update out. I will wait for PortalFlips rundown, but make sure you collect your gifts before updating. They fixed the gurglefin gem/stone glitch

What I have not much place to put them, but I think I'm going to buy 2 more airships.

Oh wow.

They just added a 400 gem companion that doubles the gold and exp payout of Swapforce characters.

A SF character in an airship with that companion just became the best money in the game. Add in Cali for insanity.

And as if my SF needed any help leveling...they are all level 14-15 and flying past my other characters with no effort.

I bet they nerfed the swap force mission....

Shrine-a-palooza!!

Yea now that they have nerfed the chance to win top prizes in the well thereby making wish stones much less useful, they are giving out shrines like candy.

Well shoot. And I just bought guglefin too. Oh well.

We definitely need a full rundown of all the new timed quests (up to three shrines available--very generous!), and we need a time traveler to peer into next week to see what might be in store for us. Portalflip to the rescue!

I didn't see this post until now and that was almost the title I went with. :3 So between the Shrine sale last week, Ermit over the weekend, and now buying Avril I'll be down to <500 Gems from 3000+ I've banked. This is the lowest I've been in a long time as I usually don't dip below 1500. I'll have to wait on a sale for Gorm & Tuk or see if they get a decent quest next week.

Gorm and Tuk are like Gigantus on steroids. I'll wait for the 50% off sale but at 200 gems they're a solid purchase. The downside is I always need to keep one swapper of each element free for sugar bats, so they're not as valuable as they could be.

The upside is that there will be 16 vanilla SWAP Force characters plus however many variants. In a few months once they're all released it's going to be Mount Cloudbreak all the time and you won't even notice the 8 SWAPpers that are warming the bench.

Ugh. With my 250 or so remaining gems do I (a) buy some more radiant fields, (b) buy that water and life shrine needed to complete my full set (100 gems is as cheap as I've ever seen things), (c) buy another adventure air balloon today or (d) save for Gorm & Tuk to go on sale?

I'm leaning towards 2 radiant fields and maybe the life shrine. Water is fairly worthless and I have 2 already.

Oh and by the way, before today, it had been over 20 days since the last earth element day (in my game at least--the last one was on October 28). So element days are no longer evenly distributed.

I noticed the lack of an Earth day as I was anticipating it ever since they released Birthday Bash. I'm thinking the updates kept resetting the order.

Just this morning I was thinking "I'll never buy gems again. I've spent $6.00 on this game I've played daily for 7 months." I thought my 40 gem a day income was plenty sufficient.

Now I look at the above menu and wish I had 600 gems to spend.

I bought Avril this weekend and got the timed quest.

I've tried force closing the app and restarting the iPad but the quest isn't triggering and I got avril over the weekend as we'll.

It had to be something special to overtake Tree Rex's 25 per cent for being a Giant plus 25 per cent for Gigantus plus 25 per cent for No.1 Fan. Pity Tree Rex's 12 hour Fort mission is so lame.

Did you check your inventory? The quest was so simple, maybe you got the goal and didn't realize it. At least, I hope that's the case for you.

I got her day one and when I updated this afternoon ihe quest came up with the other two.

Has anyone time traveled to dec and noticed the bug (assuming its a bug) where the grand prize in the well is the scout house. It stays in the well even after going to the present. Anyone else run into that?

I am speaking of the Mount Cloudbreak mission.
-Base Ballon: 10,500 gold per 4 hours (3 hours with Flynn).
-With Airship, payout is 13,125.
-The actual pay out from an airship is 16,407 which means the 25% bonuses are additive (i.e. it is a 56% bonus). The payout yesterday on the double gold day was 32k. The energy cost is less than 1k.

I'm not sure how the new companion and Cali play into this but this gets my interest up.

TreeRex using Ermit to rush Sanctuaries may be better (haven't checked math) but don't forget the 5k energy cost to use a Sanctuary. Even if TreeRex remains on the top, there are only 2 of him. There will be 16+ Swapforce eventually.

I made so much gold yesterday I am a little uneasy saying the actual amount. I can't believe I made that much. I had bought Ermit Sunday but didn't really put him into use on Monday prefering to stock as much energy as possible on Monday so I could go crazy on Tuesday. Then Tuesday hit and I went full out with everything: Ermit rushing Sanctuaries, all my Swapforce and Earth on missions, houses and all this on an Earth day (4 shrines...).

I can't imagine getting that bonus permenant through Cali and the pump me up twins. Since I have all the skylanders and I'm just in house collecting mode, not sure I need more gold companions but now I want them just to see what is possible.

well it's been more than 24hrs and still no timed quest for avril

it appears the avril quest has a minimum level requirement. I just reached level 15 and the shrine quest popped up
