Can anyone tell me what I'm collecting these for? As far as I can see there's nothing I can buy with them!

You can buy:
Sheep Topiaries for 40 (+10% xp, 100 energy every so often)
Gurglefin for 400 (Chance to get Wishstones as Gifts)
Admiral Thumpback for 2000

All that I know of.

And vacation bungalows for early game housing.

And an Eon Statue that just gives bonus to surrounding buildings.

Not very exciting for all the effort of visiting, crashing, reloading lol

Is it just me, or do you all get only wish stones and gems as gifts?
I have 100 friends, ~80 of them are gifting daily. Until now, I got approx. 15 gems, 15 wish stones, and 50 kudos daily.

Since Thursday, I get ~40 gems and ~40 wish stones every day, and not a single kudos. I thought it's a birthday thing, but others don't seem to be excited about it.

You can see the post "New update" started the 13th november. The last comment is mine. And yes, I'm delighted with the change (I can`t visit kingdoms). I hope it is for good.

Got it, thanks. So it's not for everyone (some people still get kudos), but for most of you.
I wish it stayed so, until now I got 20-25 gems a day, now around 70...

Still getting just kudos. I have about 3,000 and am updated in game and in ios...

There is an update in the App Store you have to download for the change. Maybe there is a glitch as to why some people aren't getting it.

I'm fully updated and have been for days. So strange that some people get this and others don't. Though come to think of it I think the same was true of the Hyde glitch....

I did heaps of visiting but wasn't lucky enough to find glitch Hyde. Maybe it was for people who got stuffed around with the corrupt save thing. Now this one is for those who didn't get Hyde.

I got the Hyde glitch and this gifting gem/wish stone thing and I never had a corrupt save or any other issue - I think I might be god.

Well... I must be your Queen, then, 'cause I got the Hyde & MaBoo glitch, and my friend gifts are only wishstones & gems, and I've never had a save issue, either =P

Does this make us some sort of Holy Trinity! (or holy something else?!) None of the problems, all the benefits.

maybe... I don't have him and was disappointed he wasn't on sale for the birthday weekend. I can use all the wishstones I can get since I had to start over and if he causes this then I'll just get him at full price.

Interesting theory. Does anybody getting wish stones/gems from gifts not have gurglefin?

Fwiw, I have gurglefin and get gems and stones.

If gurglefin suddenly starts giving out more gems and stones, then I'll definitely spend the 400 kudos for him. I have over 5,000, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I just haven't picked him up because I don't need any more stones. I've been debating on buying topiaries, though, and how many. Haven't gotten around to doing that, yet. However, I still hate visiting, and I can only do it at home (since I don't have Wi-Fi at work and visiting eats up a lot of data as I tested during the Hyde glitch), so I would hate losing out on the kudos as gifts if something else good comes down the pipeline.

What about other items? Maybe it isn't a glitch, but a recognition that you've already purchased everything available to be purchased with kudos, so intentionally switching you to gems and wish stones until they make more kudos items available.

That's another possibility - I've got the Admiral, maxed out on sheep, even bought Eon's statue just because. Now I'm sitting at about 10k kudos with nothing worth spending them on. Could buy bungalows, but why?

I'm almost debating on getting gurglefin to see if that changes my results from kudos to gems/stones. If it does, then that may be a high possibility. If not, then we know that's not the case.

I do have Gurglefin, but I do not have everything available to purchase with Kudos. (I only have 6 sheep topiaries, and no statue yet.)

I have Gurglefin, but no Eon statue. But I'm happily getting the gems and wishstones only as gifts.

Today they pushed an update with new Gorm and Tuk brothers companions and it seems they fixed this glitch with only wish stones/gems as a gifts. At least now after getting this update I get mostly kudos from gifts.

Yeah. I bought gurglefin after the update was released but before it pushed to my phone. I got a good round of gems & stones before it pushed the update. Not sure why it didn't push when I first opened it up. But I took the chance and bought him to get a little bit of the "glitch" in.

After the update I'm back to kudos with the occasional wish stone. I'm thinking maybe Activision doesn't want people to update this game as each update brings decreased earning potential.

Hah! Unfortunately unless you were off wifi (and thus couldn't gift) the update pushed automatically.

Admiral Thumpback? He costs Kudos. I don't think he's available anymore. Also, why don't I have the Kudos on the side of my screen? I want to collect them but I don't know how to get the Kudos icon on my screen!
