Quote: WindumupQuote: DragonCamoQuote: MatteomaxI don't have the game, but I'm planning on grabbing either a 2DS or a 3DS. How is the game in general? From what I'm reading, it looks great.
It's pretty good, I mean, I'm kinda upset that we're going to have to pay to send Pokemon from old games to the new one. There isn't as much story as there is in Black White and so on. It's ok, but not many new Pokemon, also the distance from the 1st gym to the 2nd is the biggest in all gens.
Uh you have a free month of pokebank/transported and if you use it longer it is only 5$ just saying.
The storyline is pretty long and the lack of new pokemon comes at a few advantages
1. Those who take the slogan as a challenge have less to hunt down
2. Less "garbage" pokemon like Vannilite
Besides the fact we have quite a few mega evolutions as well (even though they are just mere forms)
Gameplay wise the game litterally took everything great about the franchise, and made it even better.
Anime lovers may notice Pikachu now has his anime voice actor instead of a normal cry.
Grinding isn't as important because exp share is now an option that sends an equal ammount of exp to your entire team.
Also the variety of past gen pokemon is much larger early on.
And yes the 1st and 2nd gym has quite a gap
Its really good and we still don't even know every little detail yet (despite it being already out)
Excuse me, but You call Vanillite a garbage Pokemon, and not Muk, Seel, Voltorb, Garbordor, trubbish? Have you even SEEN half of the new Pokemon? they are ugly. There was no Pokemon, expect Delphox, that I said "I want that on my team" I, for one, like the challenge of finding all the Pokemon, but the game was no challenge. Now, with the EX Share, It makes it easier to level up your whole team, but some like the challenge of leveling each up, which is why they allowed it to be turned off. I don't see what you mean by that bolded part. Team Flare were boring, just another Team to lead you to the legendary. They weren't special, they were a mere comical relief. I for one, would rather look for, and make my team, from new Pokemon, not old ones that are back. Yes, I do love Gardevoir, but I would still rather explore the newer Pokemon. The Pikachu for me, was a minor detail that I simply did not care about. But, when it evolves, it doesn't say Riachu, so why bother? Fairy made some Pokemon WAY stronger, and made my whole gameplay destroyed, not knowing if a Pokemon was fairy or not. Mega Evolutions, were the worst Idea I have seen. They are not needed, and simply make Overpowered Pokemon even more overpowered. Pokemon like Mawile and Absol could have just got an evolution. 5/10.
