we all have at least one game that we like/love that no one has really heard about or cared about. what are some ones you've played?

me, I have this game called Jurassic: The Hunted, where you play as a character who has gone back in time to the dinosaur's age, and has to survive through weapons and items that have also gone back in time to this point. the story is pretty bad, but the great FPS gameplay, combined with the fact that you fight dinosaurs makes it a really great title. honestly i like it way better than Turok.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The game had it all, Amazing graphics and Sound, a taer jerking story, lovable caharcters, and even a dash of Pokemon. The one drawback is the poor AI, especcially on that idiot Esther, once you get Marcassin late game I totally switched them And tons of Replay Value. Buy the god darn game, for the sake of Mr Drippy and Oliver!

The Klonoa series gets my vote. It's a great little series yet never does well enough. And as of the Wii remake of the first game, seems pretty much dead as plans to remake the second game died with the first remake's failure. ;___; I'd like to see it revived and get the recognition it deserves. It has a great art style, wonderful music, fun gameplay, and the storylines are nice, Door to Phantomile and Lunatea's Veil being the better ones, though I've only watched videos of the latter (can't play it due to it being packed...somewhere).

At least the series has a webcomic (official, too, I think) going on right now, so it still lives on in some way.

Phantasy Star Zero is another underrated gem. What's weird is it seems Sega released it just for it to die, as it got few ads (if any) in all regions it was released in, and failed in every single region it was released, so I've heard. Which is a shame because it's a great game (even better when played on the 3DS) with a charming art style, great music, and, IMO, a good story that has some details altered depending on the race you pick. It seems to be referenced in newer Phantasy Star games on occasion, so Sega hasn't forgotten it, but still... I wish it'd either be remade or get a sequel. I find its world and characters too good for it to be restricted to just one game.

Also... Solatorobo: Red the Hunter. One of my favorite games evar (though not saying much because I have lots, lol). I love...pretty much everything about this game. I went in thinking I'd find it an okay game with a nice art style at best, but the gameplay and characters made me fall in love with it. Sure, it wasn't a perfect game, but to me it was still great. I've heard there's a sequel in the works, but I can't find any confirmation on that, unfortunately.

iOS/Android*

And DragonVale is one of the highest-grossing apps on the market, Google Play and Apple's proprietary store. Most overrated, IMO.

An underrated title in my views is Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. It's a very challenging game that never seemed to take off.

Halo 4.

Yes it's a popular game, but it's often rated lower than many of the earlier games. Some even say that it's the worst game in the series.
I think it's because Halo 4 was the first "real" Halo-game made by 343 Industries instead of Bungie, and it mostly centers around Master Chief and how he develops as a character instead of the largely generic sci-fi war which he is a part of.
Personally I think it's one of the best Halo-games around. Especially when it comes to the story. It's not confusing at all if you just take the time to analyze it.

The only bad things I can find in Halo 4 are:

A: Some things in the in-game cutscenes. Mainly how they seem to be a bit rushed and many of the effects aren't as nice as before (the explosions in the end of the first level look ridiculously unrealistic, the Covenant carriers are way too small compared to how massive they're supposed to be, and the slipspace animation was hideous. Halo 2 had better looking slipspace animations.)

B: Some issues with gameplay (all destroyed scenery resets and the weapons lying on the ground despawn on checkpoints. And when you manage to destroy a phantom ect. they just disappear with a small, bright explosion. No wreckages like in Halo 3 or Reach. It feels like popping a balloon).

C: No Firefight. Adding Firefight would've made Halo 4 multiplayer better than that of Halo: Reach. Though, even without it Halo 4 multiplayer had to be installed from a separate disc already.

Even these things mentioned above can probably be blamed on the fact that this masterpiece of a modern sci-fi FPS is run on a decade old system.

Alright, has anyone ever heard of Ty the Tasmanian tiger? This trilogy was 1/3rd of my childhood right there. The first one has a similar "style" to Mario 64, the whole collect all the things playstyle (which I personally love). The second one gives you an expansive main map, and the whole basis being exploration, and doing missions. The third one builds on the second one, and adds a lot more in-depth combat, but I find it did more harm than good. It also turns the whole theme on it's head. Instead of having every character an animal, now you fight this monstrous things called quinkan, also zombie lizards.

I followed this games so hard!
My cousin showed me the first game on PS2. I later got the second one on Xbox. Man, so many hours spent on that game. When I learned about the third one I went from store to store trying to find it. I had to buy it online because none of them had it. I owned all three games and never regretted it. smilie

*raises flame shield*

Shadow the Hedgehog. It is one of the most hated Sonic games out there, simply because Shadow uses weapons. The game itself is close to being my favourite game of all time. The story can/will follow whatever you please. If you want to be evil, then listen to the evil guys. If you want to be good, listen to the good guys. If you don't want to do either, then don't. The aliens, yes I said aliens, seem a little corny at first, but you eventually realize just how serious these guys are. The storyline is very dark, (for a sonic game) and Shadow will "cuss" occasionally, things like damn, and hell, but nothing major, retaining the 10+ rating. The game has roughly 10 endings, with one being the "final story" which is the true ending. The game's soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard. This game gives a fair amount of challenge depending on the mission, and if you get an A in every stage, you will unlock expert mode, which will slaughter inexperienced players.

I love this game, and find it's hate completely undeserved.

I find Phantasy Star Portable 2 underrated, it had it's annoying bits and pieces here and there, sure, but because of the sales of it, Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity was never...Freaking...Release here in the US, and I tried it...
albeit, notsolegalway
And it had an amazing improvement in it! Such as spellcaster could actually be spellcasters without the whole "It uses too much PP (Photon Points, kind of like the MP or SP of the game.)" or "PP recharges too slowly." (very maximum amount of PP is 250 but it recharges quickly but didn't satisfy for spellcasters on Phantasy Star Portable 2), and then it sounded like it had an awesome add-on story and awesome new race, a mix of the main enemy onn the game together with a human...I tried all of these mechanics out yet it never got a US release because the sales of Phantasy Star Portable 2, in my opinion, even if not the best story though I still loved it, the gameplay was freaking fun, but it didn't sell well, leading to no Infinity...It even had online multiplayer, which, for me, it's hard to find an online multiplayer game on the PSP...But for some reason, it didn't get much love.

I hope that Phantasy Star Online 2 redeems it...If they finally release it here in the US, because I have my PS Vita prepped and ready for this game, and computers being able to go to special instances that are for PS Vita to connect...I think this game would definitely redeem, I think they should do it soon too, while still waiting for good PS Vita games, Everyone would probably be after it since it's even free-to-play, the love would definitely come back for this game, and would be awesome to play this game on the PS Vita.

Sorry for getting off track so many times.

Oh yes, Phantasy Star Portable 2 was a great game, even if it had flaws, and Infinity was a great improvement! Haha, I should get back to Infinity some time...

Would be nice if Sega would just bring Phantasy Star Online 2 over here (I'd definitely love to play the Vita version, but for now I've been playing the Japanese PC version). With the right amount of effort, I'm sure it could do well enough.

I used to love that game! It had a good balance of what you could get with Gems and Coins and getting my first Rainbow Dragon was amazing! Then they started making more and more recoloured versions of dragons and I felt like they ran out of good ideas...
But seriously... HAHAHA That game is very high up in the most grossing list on the App Store, don't know how you can say that's underrated, more overrated... Just another average city builder...

YES. I agree with both these, I haven't played either of them in a while, but I loved them.

Also Kameo, the first few hours of the game are just meh, and it's quite short, but it starts picking up around half way through. Though it gets really epic once you start trying to go for the Score Attack mode. Overall, it's just a charming world, and it's got good gameplay, it doesn't do a ton of stuff in a new way but it seems nobody cares about it at all any more and I feel like it was never given much love. Go pick it up if you have a 360... It's really cheap now.

Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise seems to be the same way, but I think that has quite a following still, so yeah. (AFAIK though Pocket Paradise is dead, so maybe that counts...)
