Many people tell me that I have the spirit for great & big things, but my only limit is myself and my pessimistic attitude. Why am I like this?

Blend it. Change your past and make yourself believe it. The only bad thing about it is that you forget who you are. The good thing is that you won't be disappointed on yourself.
Don't take my word for it, though. Just a suggestion since you seem to be bothered by your past. I do it differently so I don't know how well will it work with you. Play with your mind is what I'm trying to say. I guess. >.>
