So last Sunday I woke up as early as I could, went to all three stores and accomplished getting every single figure including the Dark Edition and exclusives from Wave 1. I was like, "Yes! I'm so excited that I'm all set and don't have to worry about anything until Wave 2 is out". Few days later I check this site (just to see if any special variants were found) and find out that Wave 2 had released Monday, which is super ridiculous after I'd already spent around $500 during the release day.



Of course the first thing I had to do was go out and look for 'em. And I've found them after going through Walmart, Target, Best Buy, two different GameStop's and two different Toys"R"Us' (where one of 'em allowed me to open up extra boxed shipments to find the rest of what I needed). That's about another $200+ down. Luckily there weren't too many new figures for Wave 2.



One problem is that I couldn't find any Star Strike, the non-Lightcore one. So I'm just wondering if anyone else is having a hard time finding that one in particular. Either the Wave 2 Star Strike is more limited or it's just me. Also, how is everyone else doing with their Wave 2 hunting?

Its more limited and people are buying it up (some people only buy corelanders and not any lightcore). Me I have both Lightcore and regular, but I got the last regular.

Dang, that always seems to be the case. The feeling when you've grabbed that last Skylander, lol. That's what happened with Fire Kraken today actually; I'd grabbed the last one at a Toys"R"Us. Now everyone else is screwed until other stores get 'em. I can confirm that only Toys"R"Us and select GameStop's have Wave 2. All other stores I've visited still only just had Wave 1.

I was able to get Star Strike from toysrus.com. May want to give that a try.

On a similar note, the Manager of the Gamestop I shop at called me today and told me that he got Wave 2 in and that he was holding them for me. I get to the store and its only the corelanders, which I just ordered from toysrus.com... I felt bad because he said so many people kept coming in and asking for them...

I'm sure they sold in minutes anyway.

Yeah, that happens. The managers at my local GameStop tell me that whenever they get new Skylanders in, they all sell in minutes. This is the only reason why I try to go out and find them as earliest and quickest possible so that I don't end up being the sucker, lol.

Star Strike is 1 per 12 pack case that is why you can't find her.

The "Wave 2" assorted box contains 3 Scorp, 3 Riptide, and 1 each of Gill Grunt, Chop Chop, Trigger Happy, Sprocket, Terrafin, and Star Strike.
That's probably why Star Strike is hard to find right now, since only 1 Star Strike reaches the shelves per 12.

I'm sure she/he (which is it?) will be more plentiful in the next "wave" or two.

Regular Star Strike is the only one we are missing, but it is only because we were late getting to toys r us, 10/16. We will get it soon, when another shipment comes in or GameStop gets wave 2.

I thought the magic triple pack was going to be at walmart on the 13th because this site had it listed in wave 1. So those are the only three I'm missing.

I'm still trying to figure out what stores are getting wave 2 and when are they going to be in the store. Can somebody fill me in please?

ToysRUs has both the Swappers and the regular guys, but they're pretty limited.

GameStop has the regular ones, but is also very limited, and not all of them have it.

The date for everywhere else is November.

From the OP's picture, it also looks like he missed Grilla Drilla.

Sams clubs have wave 2 regular guys but not the wave 2 swappers.

Just got back from TRU. Got the rest of my wave 2 stuff, after getting the first bit of it Wednesday. It's not hard to find these... really.

I've seen several people say she's limited and one in a box. I had three boxes of the cores opened right in front of me and in each box there was two of her.

I know normally they come in smaller boxes but the ones they had at TRU were longer and had 16 in each.

I live in Canada and yesterday called my toy r us and they had gotten the regular core figures in so I got rip tide scorp and star strike but no place were I live has got the swappers in

I went to TRU and they had everything but gill, triggs, chop, and star strike.
I guess they are the rare ones, but I found them at another TRU

Best Buy and Gamestop have them in good stock.

Seriously people are having a hard tie finding her? I can walk into any store around me and grab a regular non lightcore Star Strike. Not to mention as others here have said she's on toysrus.com right now.

Uuumm, he just said that they normally come in smaller boxes, but these ones are bigger. He said those ones hold 16 instead of just 12.

That wouldn't make a lot of sense for TRU to get different case assortments than everyone else, that's my problem. Cost-wise, that's actually pretty ineffective. Just sounds a bit strange given this is a company that loves to make money, no?

Right now here's the breakdown from the box I put out tonight:

At the very least this is what most retailers are getting, meaning thaet Rip Tide and Scorp are both extremely common, while Star Strike ends up rare.

Oddly i was in target today and the only wave 2 they still had were chop chop and star strike. If your checking target thou i found some stores having another end shelf 3-5 aisles away from electronics and one store had put all wave 2 on that one.

No she's is in wave 2 non lightcore star strike seen many time but passed her up.
