He is worth exactly $12.50. That is the $99.99 MSRP at Gamestop minus the $74.99 price for the regular starter pack. That brings you down to $25 which would be divided by 2 because Dark Slobber Tooth and Dark Mega Ram Spyro and the two extra figures that you get in the bundle. So $12.50 by my calculations.

I was only joking with you. The value of something depends on how much somebody wants something and what they are willing to pay for it.

He's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. A quick browse of eBay indicates it's in the 10-15 range. The question is if that is worth it to you to sell it for that.

Start it where you feel you would buy it at. Just don't make it too high, or people will also raise theirs.

I would only pay $10 like any other normal figurine, though the figures as a whole are overpriced and are really worth $5 in my opinion.
Most people would probably pay only normal prices for Dark Mega Ram Spyro.

People can charge whatever...I think what matters to most people are ENDED and COMPLETED transactions.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

Another thing to consider is whether right now is a good time to sell the Dark Edition of the figure. Gamestop is still offering them at retail price (even cheaper on Black Friday). So the only people that are going to be interested in buying him are going to be the ones that skipped out the Dark set and just want to pick up the open items for cheap. If I were you I would wait months down the road when the figure is possibly no longer being produced and then you might be looking at selling it for a much higher price. For example and Granite Crusher figure was only worth $14.99 to most people while it was still on the shelves and easily obtainable but now a new one can fetch $40 to $50 on eBay.

I think it's only the Wii Dark Edition that'll be on sale for $75 at Gamestop on Black Friday...and you'd have to deal with the Black Friday rush of parents who don't know any better about Skylanders and will be there to buy it thinking it's an amazing deal. And there will be the scalpers as well. I checked several completed listings on Ebay and the set of 5 dark figures has been going for about $90. FYI - the Wii U dark starter pack and now the PS3 dark starter packs are no longer available on Gamestop.com. The Wii version is probably the one with the greatest overstock (thus the reason for putting it on sale on Black Friday). |

The future secondary market price of Skylanders figurines is always tough to predict. But I would wager that eBay Buyers would be willing to pay $20 for a brand new Dark Mega Ram Spyro with the card and sticker included. That price may go up between now and the end of 2013; I doubt it will rise above $30, and may not get that high. Hard to say.

Again, secondary market prices are all dependent on desire and availability. I would expect the price to go up though if the Dark Edition has limited release.
