I am sick of people saying that ash is the worst trainer of all time and red is the best what is up with red!!!!!!!1

Have you played red/blue/firered/leafgreen? Anyway, he was the original protagonist in the pokemon games. So he's automatically better than a dumbass who wants to "catch them all" but passes up every legendary he sees. Red on the other hand completed the pokedex and made a lot of achievements ash could never do

Ash Ketchum is really stupid. He just... doesn't progress as a human being. He isn't meant to be a realistic person.

Ash:
-Has seen nearly every legend, never attempted to catch a single one.
-Releases most of his strong Pokemon in favor of weaker ones or spamming Pikachu
-Doesn't catch very many Pokemon.
-Doesn't evolve most of the Pokemon he has.
-Has yet to win a single Pokemon League. (Not counting Orange Islands)


Red:
-Actually completes the PokeDex.
-Becomes Kanto's champion.
-Rather than taking the fame of being Champion, steps down to train on a mountain.
-Is possibly the toughest battle in G/S/C.

Red is awesome, Ash sucks, blablabla. I'm really using this time to talk about Pokemon Orgins. Spoliers ahead, Nerd Bomb in 3, 2, 1

Wasn't it so cool when Red won against Brock without knowing the slightest about Pokemon, until the middle of the battle when Brock tells Red about types and it comes down to a string shot?

I also love the changes from the TV anime, such as Giovanni not getting so mad a kid beat him that he ruins his lives work, instead disbanding Team Rocket because Red sparked back Giovanni's childhood passion for Pokemon, and using Pokemon for good. Some other minor details also are awesome, such as Brock revealing that Gym Leaders choose weak or strong Pokemon depending on how many badges you had, it's genius really.

Also the end fight with Mewtwo, the narration by Mr. Fuji and Prof. Oak while Mewtwo hits Red and his Charizard into the water, letting them drown, whe Charizard mega-evolves into Charizard X and tears Mewtwo to shreds.

I have to agree i watched pokemon the origin and it put the entire pokemon anime to shame... and yeah i have played red blue and firered i can agree that he is awesome but can some of you guys plz check out the x y anime

I've seen the English dub preview. It made bunnelby look awesome. Better than the 5th gen anime so far

Agreed, they should've made it a short series instead of making three quarters of the story a summary of what we should've seen, but didn't. I was really enjoying it, but this alone made me not enjoy it as much as I should have.
