I haven't been to school for 4 days. Friday, Monday, Tuesday and then Friday again. Why? Because I was ill, and because I had to go to two funerals, both for a relative of mine (can't be bothered to explain why 2 funerals for one person, it's army stuff) who died in war. I had absolutely no time to catch up with any school work I've missed, because no one would lend me their notebooks since I wouldn't be at school that last Friday as well.
So, what happens? I get chosen for an oral exam. I explain myself I couldn't learn any of the new lectures because of the funerals, and the professor told me that death cases in my family shouldn't matter. I argued for 30 minutes with her how unfair that is.
She writes me down an F.

What else happens? My other professor is an A-class *****, who demands the doctor's document explaining why wasn't I at school. My parents must bring the document under 7 days. Today is the 7th day, but it's impossible for my dad to bring the document today because he's working all day long. He even called my professor on the cell phone during the funeral to explain himself. I don't have a mother as a second option to bring the document instead of my dad. Still, she wasn't pleased. All because the stupid principle wants to reduce ditching. Well he should seriously consider adding some exceptions. Clearly his stupid plan has too many flaws in it. I can't believe he even dared to try and run for a major.

Another, even worse case. One of my friends' dad committed suicide 23~24 years ago. They found his remains not too long ago because there were many bodies due to war. Same week, his mother died from internal bleeding. He didn't go to school for 2 weeks maybe, and all his classmates went to the funeral with him.

In all honesty, I think I've heard of only one case that someone lied about a death case to ditch school for one day, but they figured that out later on. But to think that someone would lie about both parent's death... just, gah. What's even worse is that they know he is not lying, they know his parents are dead, but they don't want to accept his documents as an apology because he brought it one day too late...

Not fair at all.

@S-F: That's complete and utter nonsense from them. What the hell kind of school puts you through all that nonsense at a time like that? Like, don't they want the best out of their students or something? Isn't that their job? Absolutely unsympathetic and unfair from them. They aren't even trying to help you through it. I swear over here that would class as some form of emotional harm to a student or something.

Over here, finding someone who's been lost is just as dramatic as if they died recently. I'm not that much affected. It was a bit of a shock, but I was just sickened by the fact that in case of any death in my family, they wouldn't give a damn.

Sometimes I get a weird but good thing to happen. Sometimes it can be bad though.
When it says, "Try as you might, but you can't seem to find the egg in the abandoned area." Or whatever it says, sometimes I get the egg. Later I click another and it says I'm overburdened, and that's when I check and see I got the one earlier.

This. I've found out recently with starting college, most of the tutors dont actually give a damn about your education. They just want to be paid, and it's really horrible to think about people like that..

Exactly...when one of my collegues' mum died before the company's induction week, they let him have as long as he needed to recover - they even told him to miss some days off college if he wanted. That's how things should be but of course never is for most places.. :/

It is all because of our retarded headmaster, who doesn't give a single damn about his high school. He apparently works there, he gets paid, but he's never there. Everything goes through his secretary, while he's desperately trying to work his way into the government somehow by making some more conservative campaigns. Yet when we complain to our current major, he tells us we shouldn't complain to him but to someone else. I'm guessing it's because they're from different parties.

So of course, he completely neglected this high school and just brings some stupid rules that make no sense, and leaves again. I feel like we should seriously all protest or something. My dad did say if they won't accept the document tomorrow, he'll get into some serious argument with everyone there for being so fussy.
I don't even understand the whole ''you must be at school 24/7!'' thing if the headmaster doesn't even care about anyone in the first place
