I have never read the books, but my friend was going all like "OMG HE'S GAY!!" In various classes and I was like wtf are you talking about. She loves the books as much as I love THG.

Wait that's your problem? That one of the characters had a crush on someone of the same gender? Wow. That's kinda dumb. How does that make any difference to how you feel about the character?

Considering one of my favourite books, Insurgent, had a pretty similar plot twist (one of the characters last words was her confessing her love for another dead female character), so I am well aware of what the situation is like. And frankly I like it when authors do that kinda thing, makes the cast a little more interesting, rather than having everyone be 100% straight.
