Man, I wish I'd had that problem when I was your age.

Look, you're like 11 right? A kid your age shouldn't be too worried about crushes. Usually crushes at your age is just someone finds someone else to be a really cool person and they have all the qualities that person admires. It's not like he's gunna ask you out or anything.

You should take it as a compliment! c:

You could just say, "No thank you, I just want to hang out with friends at prom." IF he asks. If he starts asking to be your boyfriend, then you should be worried.

If you don't, then there probably won't be a problem.
However, if you do still happen to go to the same school or live nearby to one another, there is a good chance that he may not even like you or be interested in you anymore by that time.

You see, a majority of boys (notice that I didn't say all boys) are weird and strange creatures. When they are young, they usually think girls are gross, and if they actually do happen to like a girl, it's usually just puppy love and not true affection and/or interest in the girl. When they get older, say in their early to late teens (although they can end up being like this for god knows how long), they are usually only thinking in-between their legs and often they don't really truly care about and/or love the girl.

With that nonsense aside, I think you don't have really anything to worry about, at least in my opinion.

Your a little too young for a "boyfriend".
Tell him you rather stay just friends and to ask later in about 7 years. (IF he even lives around you or goes to the same school in those years. No way to know now)

Reminds me of a story.

When I was in kindergarten, my friend asked me, "Do you love me?"

And I said, "Yes, I love you."
