Mewtwo's final smash should be it Mega Evolving.

The fact it's just randomly sitting on Imageshack makes me think it's fake. Also, that Pikachu model looks like it was taken from a 3DS screenshot. The Mewtwo artwork also looks like an older artwork.

Lol yeah that's totally fake. xD There would be news everywhere if it were real. Plus, notice how Mewtwo is rather off the side of the ground. It's like he's not actually on the stage. The implemented photo appears strait and the TV is at an angle, so it's obvious when you look close enough.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mewtwo did show up in the game, but that's not the official confirmation we are looking for.

That's correct. If I'm not mistaken it was said they were "thinking about it." Which is cool. Personally I was hoping for the current generation (not x and y, though I could see that being a pokemon trainer if they wanted to go that way again like in brawl) so maybe Zoroark. That'd rock. I doubt it though.

Ridley is already going to be a "stage hazard" in the new Metroid stage (it was shown in original trailer, closer analysis revealed a large Ridley-shaped shadow in the background).

Remember Olimar is much bigger than he is in the Pikmin games. Can't see why they can't make Ridley smaller

Correct, the icon for Mewtwo is actually what looks to be a hybrid of Melee Mewtwo and HG/SS Mewtwo, if the screenshot were real they would most likely use the new style Mewtwo

Bowser is a totally different case because Bowser changes size often. But even so, aside from the games where he is a colossus (which always has something to do with the game's plot), Bowser is usually not even twice the size of Mario in terms of height.

Ridely, on the other hand, has only been small in the original Metroid (solely because of hardware limitations, this is also why Bowser is merely the size of Super Mario in the original Super Mario Bros), and in Melee's opening cinematic (in which he only made like, a 3 second appearance, and animating a huge Ridley in CGI when Nintendo was only getting used to the concept would of been too difficult and pointless considering his screen time). In every other game, Ridley is a giant. Not only that, but his anatomy is built AROUND the fact he is a giant. Sizing him down would create all sorts of problems (which are actually a little noticeable in the Melee CGI opening, but not much as you hardly see him) regarding anatomy. Just look up any mods of Brawl where they implement a playable Ridley. He looks like an abomination, to put it lightly. Sizing him down would mean giving him a complete redesign, at which point, he may as well be a totally new character.

Not only that, but Ridley has already been a boss in Brawl, and even there, he was portrayed as a giant. Much bigger than Bowser, even. So within the Smash Bros universe, Ridley is a giant. Why would they change that?

As for Olimar and Kirby (who is only 8 inches high in his own games), sizing them up so much works because, in the case of Olimar, his anatomy is very humanoid, therefore, he can be put beside other characters like Mario after the size upgrade, and not feel off at all. We never see characters in the Pikmin games that are relatively as big as say, Mario. So within the Pikmin games, there is no human sized character to compare Olimar to. In fact, if I hadn't looked it up, I wouldn't of known Olimar was only about a centimeter tall. Because his world is scaled around him, therefore, he doesn't look out of place in Smash Bros after the size upgrade. The same applies to Kirby, with the additional point that Kirby's anatomy is SO simple and his design so surreal, you can make him whatever size you want, and it won't look odd at all. No adjustments need to be made.

That cannot be said about Ridley, as we time and time again see him as a giant, in comparison to Samus, who is human sized, and does not undergo a size change for Smash Bros.

It's not impossible they can do what ever they want with the characters make them bigger smaller look at Sonic he was 3 feet tall but they made him 5 feet tall I size of Mario

It's not a fan model. It's the actual model from the Ridley boss fight in the Subspace Emissary.

People who want Ridley keep saying that all that needs to be done is "scale him down". Well, that's what happens when you scale him down. And just like I said, his anatomy doesn't work at that size. Heck, that's not even as scaled down as people are suggesting, and he still looks terrible.

Like I said, scaling Ridley down alone won't work. The only other option is to completely redesign him for a smaller size. But at that point, it wouldn't be the classic Ridley we all know and love, and may as well be a different character.
