Look, if you keep this up, then by Thursday, many families are going to lose everything. You're basically denying food and shelter from people who really need it. How can you call yourselves "true Americans"?

All I care about the government shutdown is that it's closing down Mammoth Cave for a while. Other than that, eh.

sigh... the democrats and republicans did have the debate about oboma care a year ago. and then they came to agreement and oboma care was passed, and now it is set in law. now republicans are holding the government hostage to get there way...... Quote:
and how is it constitutional to hold the government hostage in order to get there way? they have tried to repeal Obamacare 47+ times and all the times they have failed :/ |

You know, I've never really understood why some people dislike The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
I've tried to look for some negative opinions on the subject to see if there really are any legit, logical reasons for all the hate, but all I've ever found are huge quantities of "MUH RIGHTS". Maybe I'm simply not too familiar with the subject, anybody care to elaborate? |

And what about families like mine, who can't afford private insurance and are thus one medical emergency away from losing EVERYTHING? Gonna tell me how good and constitutional everything is when I'm living on the streets? Look, I don't fully agree with Obamacare either, but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing, especially in my situation. I would rather sacrifice one right and have a roof over my head and bread on my table, than keep all my rights and be starving. |

Ok, yes, so it does help some people. Why must it fee people who decided not to have health insurance? It's making people buy something they don't want. Yes, it may be good that they have it if something bad happens, but it's their choice if they want it or not.

The reason why is because it's going to give the government an extra source of income. I know that doesn't sound too good, but if we're gonna get out of this economic craphole, the government has GOT to have money. Republicans need to understand that in order to achieve something good, we've got to make sacrifices. Gotta spend money to make money. |

Both Democrats and Republicans are just men above us. They both tell us what to do and never allow us to question it, they both make stupid decisions for millions of people, and all the both do is sit on fancy plush chairs and think as close-mindedly as possible to stop people from downloading the Bee Movie for free. There is no difference between them besides one of them is a lot less close-minded.

When Obama became president, he had no record of changing his old name, his grandmother said he was born in Kenya, before that, he voted against protecting babies who survived abortion three times. He also won't release certain law records that relate to him, his father, spiritual advisors and his mentor who was a communist, known as Frank, have been said to be marxists. Bush may have been a bad president but there is one man whom is worse. And I think you know his name.

I agree Romney & Obama were no.... We should scrap everyone in office and start fresh. Maybe instead of voting with a party you feel some loyalty to, people should actually look at the candidates. Then just scrap both losers and go for someone who actually seems like they care.

None of you get it.
The President is merely a puppet of Congress. Congress is merely a puppet of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve is run by private, wealthy Republicans who only want to increase the value of the U.S. Dollar. This is the true reason for all the military presence in the Middle East; it's the reason we stayed for so long after busting Hussein's regime and taking down most of al-Qaeda. Oil is the only thing keeping the U.S. Dollar in high value, and as we all know, true Republicans care about nothing but money. The whole basis of the Republican Party is Capitalism, and Capitalism is based on making a profit. Anyway, the military spending has contributed greatly to our economic decline (though it isn't the sole reason), and Republicans running the Federal Reserve only want to increase the value of the U.S. Dollar, which means more economic decline. It's very hard for the President to do something when the people controlling the nation's economy are prominent. Don't you see? Republicans don't give a damn about the welfare of the country. They just want to big and powerful, they want to establish the U.S. as the leading economic superpower of the First World. As for me, I say that it doesn't matter how big of a superpower we are. We can be viewed as an insignificant rock for all I care, as long as our people are healthy and happy, and able to live on their own. This country was made by the people, of the people and for the people, not the big corporate assholes. It's time the people took it back. |
