With the introduction of Barkley is it better to go for a life shrine?

I am keen to get more coins for the new islands and spins for the Swapforce.

I need another 7 million for the wood stack place.

I'd go with the undead shrine. It just seems to have more days with that element than life. If it's gold your after you'd be better off with ruggles. Then you can load up your sanctuaries. I have done this since the sidekicks started coming out. I don't own any actual figures of the sidekicks, so I had to spin for them. I have all the skylanders except for Hoppity, so when the sidekicks came out, I was guaranteed to get them with a spin. I had no trouble getting about $6mil each week by loading my sanctuaries as much as I could.

I have Ruggles and stack 6 sanctuaries usually. I have 10 radiant energy fields but still do not seem to have enough energy.

Me neither. I usually run all eight but only once a day. As soon as my energy hits 120k, I load up the sanctuaries. What level are you at? The stack house disappeared from my store after the big kudos update, and figured I won't get to own one. I'm at 36 and the highest level house there now is the boat house. Maybe it will come back when I reach a higher level.

IMHO, the undead shrine is a little better than life. Both give you a 10% boost to their elemental crop when it's their day, but it's not practical to plant the life crop, so I think undead gives you a smidgen more of a boost over time.

I am 39% on level 39. I just checked the wood stack is there still.

I thought they also boosted coins earned so with number one fan and Gigantus the life shrine would be a good thing for the Treerexes.

Maybe so, but thought they only give you $1k every hour on their off days.

I've tested and confirmed how elemental days work (and others have confirmed). Basically, every 8 days all 8 elements will appear once. Within the 8 days the order is random, but you will always get one of each element. This resets every 8 days. It sometimes appears like you get certain elements more frequently, but that is because you may get a particular element on day 7 or 8 of one series and then again on day 1 or 2 of the next.

Because of this, there is little downside to stacking one element at a time. The downside is would be failing to stack an element where the skylanders of that element have other intrinsic bonuses (like life with triple Tree Rexs (including Barkely), plus the #1 fan bonus plus the Gigantus bonus) in favor of an element where that's not the case (Air is probably the worst but Undead is a not too distant second).

The upside to stacking one element at a time is benefiting from the 10% crop boost per shrine. Some elemental crops are worthless (Floats, Ambrosia, Cloudlings, Luminaries) unless you job in life is to play this game full time.

So you have to balance the crop bonus against the gold bonus.

Personally, I choose to favor the crop bonus. I'm always in an energy deficit so getting the bonus on crops that I can actually plant is a huge plus for me, and helps me generate more gold through the sanctuaries.

Therefore, I've decided to stack up the shrines that tie to crops I typically plant first. Undead was the first one I wanted to get three of, since I usually plant the 2 hour grave diggers.

Hope that helps!

Thanks everyone.

I have bought myself an undead. It is always tempting to buy whatever the element of the day is as you see an immediate benefit.

It's best to buy three of the shrines that are gifted in quests. So right now a magic shrine is a timed quest prize, so if you buy three of those (the max), the timed quest will give you a fourth one.

dios, as always, makes a great point. I did that too and now have four magic shrines.

Before Hugo, I spent months tracking so I could foretell the next day. There was often a pattern so that by day 2, I could predict with 90% accuracy days 3-8. However, a few months ago, right before Hugo came out, Tech skipped twice in a month. I stopped tracking when Hugo came out. I really don't think Tech appears in each cycle.

Is today a water day for you and was yesterday magic? If so, you're on my schedule. I haven't kept track for a month but when I did tech showed up just like all the others. I'm trying to keep track again so we'll see what happens. By my calculations a new 8-day period began today.

Hey, I believe you. I just know they skipped Tech a couple times a few months ago. That's all I'm saying.

I just added a water shrine from the wishing well. That is a magic and a water in the last couple of weeks.
