While I may be a huge Sonic fan, I don't want any other playable Sonic characters. Sonic is in the game for a variety of special reasons. He stands out amongst the rest of the cast, yet fits in perfectly. Same can't be said for his friends.

They can have cameos, assist trophies, etc, but making them playable wouldn't feel right to me. Sonic represents his franchise strongly, and there is no need to complicate things.

As for Snake, I have no objection to him coming back, but I'm not counting on it. The only thing he has that could bring him back is the fact that Sakurai and Hideo Kojima are friends, and Kojima literally begged Sakurai to include Snake since Melee. Sonic was also planned for Melee, but because of fan demand, and his history with Nintendo. I think Yuji Naka did discuss the idea with Sakurai also.

Now, I'd really love Toon Zelda. I think someone already mentioned that. It'd be pretty cool to have Tetra and then her in the Zelda form. I can totally see that being better than Shiek. Plus, the cast is updating all their characters with new versions. Skyward Sword Zelda doesn't have an opposite side, and from what I've gathered she doesn't have magic. If they gave her magic I guess that'd be fine, but she wouldn't have an opposite form.

Which she originally appeared in Chain of Memories on the GBA then reappeared in 358/2 Days on the DS. Though has had equal appearences on the PS2 with RE: CoM and KH2 Final Mix.

So, it'd be a long shot, but a KH character could appear in a SSB game as there has been 4 games on Nintendo handhelds.

Even then Sora is more likely than anyone else.

Frankly, I just want Game & Watch and ROB to come back. Rosalina'd be cool too.

First off yes, Mewtow could easily be in ssb4, with his X and Y megaevolutions having to do with his final smah perhaps. As for the character release, Toon Link was confirmed on the 26th, and Sonic on the 30th or something...

That seems most likely, as every other new character except for Peach was in a recently released game.
