I was coming here to post this. I'm surprised there is so little fanfare about this - I was excited to lock one of each in. Probably because everyone's waiting for the BOGO40 and $100-Gill Grunt thing, I suppose.

In my head, this pretty much locks up that L. Zoo Lou and L. Night Shift will not be out initially, as most people suspected.

Thank you. Though, this time around I am NOT collecting them ALL, only the Skylanders I like or think look cool, Legendary Free Ranger is on that list. So I got him. Thanks again for the info!

Legendary free ranger looks way better than regular to me so he's a buy for me

Folks are getting a bit numb third time in. Maybe they can pick a different promotional aspect next time?

I was ordering some other items when I saw L. Grim Creeper show up, did not know about L. Free Ranger until order was placed.... so did not order. Shipping at TRU is not that cheap. I'll hopefully find them in store on the day.

Yeah, I spent quite a bit on shipping on my Giants mdse. I'm aiming on spending $0 for this in Swap Force. TRU is not cheap, and they also don't always box stuff which makes me not very happy.

Has anbody been able to order any of the other pre-order characters from the TRU site besides the legendary characters and the Adventure/Battle packs?

I know this goes without saying but it gotta be said. TRU's prices are ridiculous! How can everyone talk bad about gamestop but not about TRU? They charge 2 extra dollars for their swap figures than anywhere else. They are lucky to get legendaries otherwise I'm not touching this store for figures unless desperate or a good sale.

TRU charges more for almost everything, their Wiimotes for example are $41.99 vs. $39.99 everywhere else. The difference between them and Gamestop is that if you take advantage of coupons and deals you can actually come out better. Also, TRU does a lot of exclusive stuff and at least for Skylanders, their Hot Toy Alerts are helpful. Gamestop rarely has deals or coupons on current games.

But, the bottom line, if it is something that I can find elsewhere and there is not a sale, I will shop elsewhere from TRU. I'll get some Swap Force stuff there, but only because they have Legendaries and a sale that makes their figures not a bad deal (assuming you buy them in pairs). All other things being equal, I'd personally rather shop Best Buy (deals and Reward Zone work out well), but they stink at Skylanders stocking.

Consistently the best deals on every day prices is almost always Walmart. But, that requires shopping at Walmart, which I abhor.

When TRU has a sale, whoa man, do they have one! Purchased the plastic towers for 10 bucks each, and a whole bunch of other stuff at 50% off one day. However, normally we do not buy there. Most of our Skylanders came from the special at Gamestop, otherwise it has been Walmart. I don't think we've actually bought any at Target.

Also, anything you see buy 1 get one 50% off, you can usually go to Target/Walmart and get the same item for about $10 less. I did this a couple of times with lego sets as my kids can never agree on two they want for that special.

Pity save15 did not work (I double checked) for the pre-order. However, it did work on my other items. I have now used it about 6 times since that promotion started. LOL.

And with shipping added it was over $21 so I'll wait. That's way too much.

Has anyone tried to pre-order the legendary figures in-store yet? I would hate to make a 20 minute drive to mine, only to find out that nothing is available in store yet. Thanks in advance!

Tried that with the HideAway playsets, they would not for those two items. Your mileage will vary. You can always call with the webcode before you drive.

is seriously awesome!!! That's the only CORE skylander that I'm gonna buy!

Only those 2. The others are to be released later that fall.

The sales are true but then you hope you can still find the figure you want by the time a decent sale comes around.

Well I'm in Canada and I pre ordered them both in store but not sure about USA

As much as I want to preorder them, i'll more then likely just get them at midnight. if i cant find them with the like 10 tru around me then ya it's not meant to be.

If your not going to get free shipping, skip it. Im sure you can find these in store and get a deal.
