Just bought 2 at my gamestop. They had about 20 left.

If your local GameStop store is selling their Lightcore Hex, then they may be in for a rude awakening on Sunday next weekend. GameStop stores should be receiving LC Hex, yes, but they should be holding them aside (not for sale) so that they have stock when SwapForce starter pack pre-order customers visit the store next weekend to pick up their starter pack, which is supposed to include a free promotional LC Hex. If the store has no LC Hex to distribute then, there's gonna be some pissed-off customers.

As noted in several places around this forum (and elsewhere), Target's computers/registers will lock-out the purchase, and you won't be able to buy LC Hex until 10-13-13 at Target stores. Apparently, they learned their lesson after screwing-up when they shipped Jade Flashwing to stores in early March.

Yeah I tried to buy one at Target and the system wouldn't let me.

Gamestop didnt lock it out. It almost locked out the jack skellington I bought so he called another store to verify it was related today but he said nothing about the lightcore hex. I have no idea how to post pictures. If someone wants to pm me their email address I will email the picture of the ones I purchased and they can post it.

I saw them at my Target and politely told the employee they weren't supposed to be out yet.

Gamestop today said they are released they still have done set back for preorders but they were told to put the rest out. So its official she is out it wasn't a mistake.

Called my gamestop (and talked to my friend that works there) and he said that they got an email not to put them out. That they are for Pre-orders only, and that any gamestop that is selling them will get in trouble and some one may be fired at those locations.

Edit: called the other gamestop in my area and they confremed that they are not to sell them (they are pre-order only) and they got an email saying not to sell them. She said any employee that sold them will be reprimanded and maybe even be fired.

Just one more example of how loosely-knit the GameStop franchise really is. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at many of these GameStop locations. I really think at this point, having seen and heard SO MANY conflicting reports from various GameStop locations across the country in these forums .... it's best that everyone just treats "their" GameStop store as if it operates nearly-independently of all other GameStop stores. There just simply is no evidence that information from one GameStop location can be trusted to be applicable to another GameStop location.

I'd encourage everyone to stop posting "this just happened" type posts from "their" local GameStop store. It's useless information.

I just found these at my toysrus and I thought the same thing too so I asked the manager and he said that they have some put aside for the preorders. im wondering if I should buy one now and not open it just incase its a screw up and they run out.

I'm not saying your gamestop employee is wrong bc in bigger markets maybe that is what they were told. I live in a small town. I do lots of business from this gamestop and the manager is the one that told me it was ok bc I asked he why are they out I thought they were for pre orders only. She said they were told to put them out but they have more in th back for pre orders. When she rang it up it didn't block it. It did block jack skellington and she had to call another store to unlock it bc it was street dated for Saturday which is when I went. Only one of 2 things are happening. Different locations have different management that makes the calls or the other stores don't want to fill work out until the 13th bc I promise you of they ring it up it will not block it or say it is Street dated.. This girl has worked there for over 10 years she would not do anything to get fired. I work at enterprise rent a car and in some areas the insurance cost different amounts, the qualifications to rent are different, just bc ots thr same company doesnt mean the rules are the same for all of them. If you live near northeast TN/Southwest VA pm me and I'll tell you which Location it is. They had 22 on the shelves when I left and plenty note in the back for pre orders.

I don't think anyone is saying that there should be a register lock-out for LC Hex at GameStop. I'm pretty sure that the register lock-outs have only been noted at Target stores for LC Hex.

I wonder if people are going to try to eBay her after release of the game?

This could very well end up being the most common and cheapest Skylander ever...

Activision will no doubt stop producing her and result in a complete drought in a years time and she will be the next DLC!
Unless of course everybody thinks this and buys up multiple of her to store to sell later in which case she won't ever become valuable... Oh the paradox. Let's just wait and see eh.

I for one am happy to wait for her to arrive with the game. Which is good because she isn't on the shelf anywhere in the UK.

Well, one thing to consider at this point is most of the pre-orders are "locked in" for this weekend. The LC Hex that they are selling might be the ones beyond what they need for the pre-orders (and one would hope a few extra for the late comers).

Of course, they also might be selling their pre-order bonus items, in which case they are going to be in for a rough ride come Sunday if they sell them all. What I don't get is why her release is a big deal, after this weekend, almost everyone will have her. The only real market for them is people that aren't buying Swap Force (but for some reason are still buying figures) or those that will want an extra for packaged but aren't buying an extra Starter packaged.

Funny thing is, from a legal standpoint, retailers would probably be covered if they simply sold all their stock before release. The offer clearly states "While Supplies Last" - and there's nothing stating that they'll hold the figure for you.

Granted, from a customer service standpoint, this would be a really crappy thing to do.

Although... if they *did* run out, they might be inclined to sub other Lightcore figures instead. If this could be used to score SWAP Force Lightcores... then sweet.

My father-in-law just got LC Hex at Target in Boise, ID. It said street dated 10/13 but the guy just over rode it, said something about because my father-in-law is a nice guy. Which is weird because he is a super abrasive person normally.

I don't care about people getting it early, that's fine by me. I just don't wont any one who pre-ordered to miss out on what they should get.
