are the coupons from the frito lays useful in game stop since i have 3 or 2 of them so i was wondering since i wanna use em next Sunday to purchase my pre-order of swapforce if they are great i can get the game for $50

Now of course if you live in Canada that has an EBGames, they do honor them. EBGames and GameStop are the same but they treat coupons differently.

You've spoken to an EBGames location? I tried to ask at mine, and they said most likely not accepting them. Seeing as how it was a promotion only in the USA, it would make sense they don't accept em here. However, no where on the coupon does it indicate only valid in USA. Should be interesting...

To be perfectly honest, I doubted that GameStop would accept the Frito-Lay chip-bag coupons.

However, I would suggest that people visit their own individual GameStop stores, and ask the senior staff member about the coupon issue. If you live in/near a city, travel around to multiple GameStop locations, if needed. I went to the GameStop location where I pre-ordered, and point-blank asked the employee if the store would honor the coupon. He said that, yes, he absolutely would honor the coupon, and that if the computer/scanner didn't recognize the coupon, then he would manually key-in a discount. I was pleasantly surprised by this, since I went into the conversation expecting him to say, "no". But to be perfectly honest, when I asked about the coupon, his response attitude was along the lines of, "absolutely; why wouldn't we honor the coupon?"

The more encounters I experience with various GameStop locations, the more I come to realize that individual GameStop locations tend to be operated VERY differently from one another. It seems that the GameStop franchise is a VERY loose network, and that individual stores act more like distant cousins than close family members.

I purchased a "Chill" lightcore from GS using the $1 off coupon. They told me that they would accept the $10 off coupon for the pre-order of swap-force as well.

If you click on the link that is in Post #2, there you will see others that have been able to use the $1/$5 coupons from Frito Lays. Again this is only for EBGames. GS was denied.
