WWI brought new and dangerous technology, but at the end the rules of war were set (yes, war has rules).

WWII disregarded a large amount of those rules and had several genocides.

World War II, hands down. Introduced us to even deadlier technologies that led to the arms race as part of the Cold War, had multiple genocides, and a significantly higher death toll, both military and civilian. <.<;

They were both terrible. World War I more or less caused World War II. It's not fair to judge what tragedy is worse. Frankly it's embarrassing.

WW2 and WW1 both had awful effects during and after. I'd say WW2 is worse.

Well Japan has an honor code. If they give up they lose their honor and honor is big thing in Japan. So they kept on sending armies and slaughtering many sons and daughters of innocent families. So if we didn't bomb them then they would keep on fighting.
