Hi! I preordered Skylanders Swap Force today at my local EBgames!

(Canada) And I was talking to the girl that were selling the stuff and she said, if you preorder here at EBgames, you'll get the dark edition with 5 figure, black portal with purple light, and mega poster and all the normal stuff... you'll also get the LC And we'll give you a free sidekick right now!

And then I said... and how many I have to pay? She said 5$ and 13 october you pay 75$! So I got the Dark edition, a free sidekick (:gillrunt and LC for only 80$!?!? And if you preorder online, it's 100$ and LC ...

That's a little weird!?!?

She obviously mischarged you. They wouldn't do that. Check over your receipt as she most likely preordered the regular bundle, and those $5 are towards the preorder, not the charge to preorder it. You have to pay the remainder, which is $70 before tax, and it'll most likely be $77 with tax. You'll most likely get the standard when you pick it up.

that's not right...hmm.

Are we supposed to get the Sidekick this early? I pre-ordered, but got nothing but my receipt.

I live around Toronto and when I pre-ordered my Dark Edition Starter Pack, I put down $10 (have receipt in my wallet, just confirmed it was indeed the Dark edition). The guy didn't state a required amount, just asked me how much I wanted to put down. He confirmed the LC Hex bonus but not the sidekick (which doesn't matter to me, have them all from past promotions).

I have the receipt with Dark Edition on it... The girl said ( for now you just have to pay 5$ and we'll call one day before release!

Me: Ok I'll take it!

Girl 2: Do I need to give him something?

Girl 1:Yes the sidekick.

I had choice between Gill and elf! I tool Gill. Then the girl took my phone, name... Then I got the receipt with the and I paid 5$...

Girl 2: We'll call you october 12 and when you'll buy the DE, It'll cost 74.99 Have a nice day!

I would go back and talk to either a manager or another employee that knows about it and double check. Would hate to hear about you getting the wrong edition.

Well when I pre-ordered mine i didn't get a Side Kick and I had to put a $5 deposit down

And yes I'm in Ontario

Must be different for Canada.

Regardless of $100 purchase or not, the policy is you have to put down $25 on collector's editions.

Also, they don't call you the day before release. You're expected to be responsible enough to show up when it comes out.

It's in English for me. The site remembered my previous language preference of English (and if it WAS in french, you can change it at the top right like every other bilingual site).

What mystifies ME is that it is indeed listed as being $99.99, and it is indeed the Canadian site...

It is $100 in Canada, you do get a free LC Hex and a free Sidekick. Generally new release game prices are the same in the US and Canada nowadays. EB Games requires $5 for a regular game, $5 - $10 for a CE or SE game (it varies from game to game for some reason) and $50 for console prorders. They may have told TC it would be $75 when he picks it up but they were mistaken, he will either have to pay $95 or he's getting the standard edition and will indeed be paying $75.

A good way to prove a statement false is to always use the word "always". Btw, not "everyone" thinks that, but I understand your frustration with sterotypes. I live in the south, I guess I'm dumb hillbilly redneck...right?

EB stores do not set their own prices, they get their pricing from head office. As I said earlier you either have the regular edition preordered or you will be paying $95 when you go pick up your Dark Edition.

We'll see in 33 days...

I would have to agree that they are going to charge you the $100 for it. The employees at these places aren't paid enough to be actual experts in their field necessarily. They do give out misinformation sometimes. However, maybe if you complain about it or get lucky, you can get a manager to honor her mistake, depending on what your receipt says.

She looked in her paper to see what I get by preordering it... I'm pretty sure that the price was with it too!

Here are the pictures of my receipt!!! You can see that I paid a total of (5) $$$ and not 10$$$ and you can also see the dark edition...

Yes the pics show that you paid a deposit of $5.00. However I don't see anywhere on the receipt that lists the final sale price. Nothing against you personally LloydDXYX, i just think your cashier was mistaken when they told you what the final sale price was. I hope you're prepared to pay $99.99 like the rest of us when you go to pick up your game. But hey who knows, maybe you will get it for $74.99 after all, good luck to you man!

Someone said to me on the forum that the wii box was 74.99$... Weird!?!? I hope it is
