Mysterious Figure in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep.

You must be lv. 99, and have a set attack command deck if you even hope to win. It took me countless tries before I beat him as Aqua, and then haven't even tried with Terra or Ven yet.

If it weren't for the abilities of Second Chance and Once More which will retain 1HP after an attack/combo unless you already have 1HP, the battle would be hopeless.

The basic dodge type for each character (Cartwheel for Aqua) allows you to be invincible while performing it, any variation to this such as Fire Cartwheel will not give you this.

The Mysterious Figure has a tendency to string combos together one after another granting little time for recovery between and leaving little room to attack. He even as the ability to rewind time to heal himself. Most of the battle WILL be spent running/dodging his attacks. His ability to dupicate himself will often prove fatal if not dealt with immediatly. Overall, he is possibly one of if not the most difficult boss to beat in the Kingdom Hearts series as winning requires more luck than actual skill. Halfway through the battle he will turn invivislbe and often perform multiple attacks at once making the battle even less likely to beat.

If one somehow manages to defeat him, one will be granted a weapon that is not the strongest yet should be equipped as a trophy to prove that you are lucky and bad*** enough to have somehow survived.

Erm, isn't it the higher your level, the harder he is?

Actually, I've heard it depends on what abilities you have equipped.

The only good news about him is that he is optional boss you can do post-game.

I'm still progressing into beating Terra's story. I beat Ventus's story (I had such a struggle o-o It was hard to level up in BBS in my opinion and beat Vanitas at around level 31), I'm almost done with Aqua, and I'm barely at Cinderella with Terra.

Final boss: Legendary Starfy- I've had it for a few years, and to this day I still cannot beat it. Not even my brother can, and he's the Chuck Norris of gaming.

Tabuu- Super Smash Bros. Brawl- It took me a while, but I beat him first with Ness, Zelda, Falco, Sonic, Olimar and Mr. Game and Watch.

Meta Ridley- SSBB- Took some practice, but I mastered MR in Boss Battles mode with Ness. The easiest out of the three mentioned. Easy now, but it was hard because I was a noob when I first encountered this.

I still havent beat the Legend of starfy final boss or Tabuu

MetaRidley was pretty hard though. But i was playing Co-op

So many to choose from...

Galacta Knight - Kirby SSU/RTD Just too fast and relentless, you need to really know what you are dealing with, and unfortunately, you don't get the chance to learn his attacks, especially in RTD, where you can only fight him in round 13 of the True arena. (round 7 in SSU).

Palkia/Dialga - pokemon explorers of time/darkness - Not the first time, the second time. When dialga/palkia enters your home and kidnaps both you and your partner. Which throws you into a dungeon where you cannot escape until you defeat said legendary. What's worse, is if you are at a type disadvantage to dialga/palkia.

Sephiroth - Kingdom hearts - so overpowered, he can kill you in three hits, his sword can hit almost the entire arena, AND his hp bar won't move until you do a set amount of damage to him.

Fusion Dragon - Golden sun - honestly, struggling with trying to defeat both Satoros and Menardi, and then suddenly having them fuse together to become an almighty dragon is just ridiculous, it defeated my whole team in two turns.

King Bulbin - LoZ:Twilight Princess "hard mode" - he doesn't seem difficult until you try the hard mode, aka, not gaining any hearts. Then he can kill you in one shot. Arrows have virtually no effect on him so you have to get close, at that point it is all luck.

Kamek - new super Mario brothers Wii - Fortress in world 8, seems normal enough, until you get to the boss, Kamek controls the entire arena, which is made up of "scrolling" blocks slowly moving to the right. If one hits the edge of the screen, it appears at the other side. Kamek will turn these into enemies and other things, and will also teleport away as soon as you get close. Same rule applies, three hits and he's done.

Both Sephiroth battles are difficult.

KH1 is easy as long as can time using an elixir well. I've beaten him time and time again as a way to grind levels.

KH2 is rather annoying and is up there on the list of hard KH bosses.

Well, EVERY single dark eon is hard to beat, but this one is INSANE, not becuase he can easy kill you and your party with his 99999 hits, but the hardest thing is, you have to beat him 6 ******* TIMES!!, COME ON!! In order to unlock your final destination, A.K.A the Final Optional Boss.

- Magician Type-0, The House of the Dead series:
Actually, the boss is not hard, but if you are playing the game in an Arcade Machine (the original ones), you will have an horrible moment trying to shoot this guy, hehehe...

Neptune from the Spongebob Movie Game. I don't really play it but my mom did for my brother, it looked insanely frustrating >.>
Master Belch from EarthBound. Mostly because the first time I forgot to use the fly honey, so he was literally invincible...

Defeating Corvus a second time in Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. I can't even tell if he is nearly defeated!! He is just horrid... *shudder*.

Brock on Pokemon Yellow. I was little, and just trained my lil Pikachu, and then a gym leader who is a rock type. I could'nt make a dent in Onix's health. Later after alot of battles, I grinded a Pidgey and wiped the smirk of his slit-eyed face.

The Legendary Stafry- Final Boss (Moogul- Moggloo- I don't even know or care what his name is.) No matter what I couldn't beat it

Spiderman: Web of Shadows- Electro: STOP RUNNING DUDE! All he did has run, scream, and block me with his stupid lightning

Kirby Return's to Dreamland- Magolor: Even though I got it on my first try, this was still pretty difficult!

Sly Cooper: Honor Among Thieves- Final Boss (Dude with mechanical legs): I had to call my friend over to do it for me!

Sly 2- Clockwerk: It took me a VERY long time!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- Ganondorf: Main problem was I didn't realize what I was supposed to do until after 45 minutes of playing ping pong with him

Up: The Video Game DS- That goddamn crocodile: I tried to use Russel's trumpet on him but it just wouldn't work!

Toy Story for Sega Genisis- Buzz Lightyear: I know he says he doesn't fly he falls with style, BUT THE DUDE FLIES! He just flies around you while you bounce around on tennis ball while sharks are trying to eat you! Then when you die you have to start the whole damn game over!

Jimmy Neutron: Attack of the Twonkies- Ice Twonkie: In a video game when there is absolutely no combat and you have to defeat a giant ice monster, it kinda sucks. Also before that I spent three hours helping Carl get his damn llamas back in their pen!

Difficult Bosses I've Faced:

Uka Uka: "Crash of The Titans".
Well you get ganged up by a bunch of mutants (a few you won't be able to see in range), if you get caught by Uka's laser attack then you can't move and die, and he summons unavoidable spikes from the ground which will automatically kill your mutant (which is a major problem since the mutants can't jump in this game). He is insanely hard on Hard Mode.

Lord Woo Fak Fak: "Banjo Tooie".
He will fire an electric attack at you repeatedly, I already have a hard time trying to destroy the correct boil but then he keeps moving around, and I can't control good underwater. After you destroy his boils, he will open his eyes and see where you are; firing his electric attack at your direction.
He's VERY hard in Replay Mode (Only 5 Health Bars and no cheats).

Spike: "Spyro (3): Year of The Dragon".
I don't have a hard time with him now, but back them, that laser gun always got me. Not to mention he will run up to you and try to smash you, and then he tries to take the power bombs from the ground; giving him more attacks.

Bowser X (Challenge Node): "Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story".
He's alot stronger, makes hard moves to avoid, and sucks up your special ability each time you attack him with it.
(He's the only boss on this list I haven't beaten yet).

Nitrous Oxide: "Crash Bash".
This guy... he makes you chase him all the way to his home planet and dumps Nitros and shoots Rockets at you, and you also have to dodge other objects in the process. Once you finally reach the planet, you have to do a "Ballistix" challenge with him. It's annoying because he dodges the solar balls very well so you have to be careful. AND he launches a red solar ball at you so don't touch that or you instantly die.

Blinky's Mech (I know the game says "Clyde's Mech" but it's pretty obvious the game messed up 's and 's names): "Pacman World 2".
He fires multiple fiery projectiles at you (It starts out singular, then double, and then triple) and if you are in the air while you get hit by them, you will fall into the lava and instantly die. If he goes to another platform, you have to "Rev Roll" all the way to the other platform just to hit the top of him, if you mess up and miss the edge, you will fall in the lava. He also tries to push you off the platform you're on into the lava, also leaving behind flames all over the ground. The projectiles he fires at you will also leave tiny flames on the ground which will give you damage. And finally, he fires so many projectiles at you that the game would sometimes LAG!

Anubis Rex: "Pacman World".
First you have to run from a mummy's hand while dodging spears that pop out from the ground, once you get past that pointless part, the REAL battle begins. You are now in a small jungle area with a very large statue, you must "Rev Roll" four platforms on the left and right sides without carelessly falling into the lava while dodging fiery stones that pop out of the lava. When you "Rev Roll" the four platforms, the fists will open and reveals its weak spot which is a rainbow gem heart, you must crash (Rev Roll) into the heart in order to damage him, but you better hurry because if you take too long to hit it then the heart will go back inside the statue. You have to repeat this a three more times but each time you do, the battle gets harder and harder. As you continue to damage him, he will summon a black tornado that follows you in any direction you are in, summons more meteors that will randomly hit any platform, and then shoots very large beams of light all over the stage. So when you have to hit him one last time, you will have to dodge fiery stones, meteors, an annoying tornado, and a very large beam of light without falling into the lava while trying to activate the platforms in order to release the heart, but seeing how you will be dodging the other annoying attacks in order to not get hit, you will be repeating the final hit part for quite awhile since he will hide his weak spot again if you're not quick.
(To be honest, I found this boss to be much harder than Blinky's Mech).

Huff N Puff: "Paper Mario".
Oh how I hate him, he's the hardest boss in the game IMO. He will shoot lighting at you, summons smaller clouds that will cover you and give you damage (more damage depending how many are covering you). What makes him extremely hard is that you have to be very careful with your attacks, if you use a powerful attack against him, it will make more clouds pop out of him, and then he will later EAT those clouds and then gain HEALTH! And if there are not enough clouds around him, he will summon a powerful lighting that does DEVASTATING damage. Funny how my least favorite world in the game has my least favorite boss too.


I know I have faced other difficult bosses, so I will might add more later...

Dragonslayer Ornstein and Executioner Smoky.
I just..... Hate.

Luca Blight-Suikoden II, you need 18 characters in fighting condition and even then he can still tear through them like crazy
Cinquleur-FFTA2, facing 5 mages each using a different color of magic plus all are lvl 99

The boss battle was very easy.... I think he rushed through the game without leveling up much. I can beat Dark Bowser in about 5-7 minutes. (Mario and Luigi are both level 65, Bowser is level 70)

Morpha from Ocarina of Time. It took me forever to beat that thing!!

Tabuu on SSBB on is hardest mode.

Ballos in Cave Story. The horror.

Demise (Skyward Sword):

It was extremely difficult to defeat him at first, his attacks were unpredictable to me and his attacks made too much damage. Even worse in Hero Mode, where he made double the damage (god dammit 4 hearts a hit!)

I'll add in a few more:

Cackletta's Soul: Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga

I was severely underleveled for this fight. The first phase is very easy, but when Bowletta sucks you up, the pace picks up, along with some pretty badass fight music. Not to mention that both Bros pick up the fight with 1 HP.
Her attacks are tough to dodge at first, but once you get used to the patterns, it's easy.
When her HP is low, she'll start to perform a nearly insta-kill laser attack, which is a pain to avoid. If one of the Bros. die, you're screwed.
I still managed to beat her.

Smithy, second form: Super Mario RPG

Also underleveled (Dangit! I suck at RPGs sometimes.), I faced Smithy. His first form is.. eh.. not TOO hard, but when you get to his second, the battle becomes crazy.
Smithy slams his head with his hammer randomly during the fight, which causes his head to change form, granting him special powers, such as an extremely high defense boost, instant kill attacks (To one party member), tons of magic attacks, and the ability to turn your party into scarecrows, mushrooms (The biggest pain), and to poison them.
Not to mention that he has extremely high attack on one of his forms (250!), and his health is insanely high (8,000!)
I also managed to beat him, twice, but he was so annoying when I was younger.

at the top of my list are otto destruct from Ratchet and Clank size matters in challenge mode and clunk from secret from Secret Agent Clank also in challenge mode

I have not had the honor to play this, but have heard it is hard.

I just started getting into the series. So far the Dragon has given me the most trouble. Now i am stuck on Riku after that part but eh i didnt give it much effort yet lol

Yup, I still can't beat Orgodemir, but I've beaten Estark and Baramos repeatedly, and also have beaten Malroth once. The others I don't have the map for.

I agree this is the most difficult boss fight.

A few I can think of:

Dragon Quest 9: The only final boss that I could not defeat to complete a game. I needed to level my party a lot more but just couldn't be bothered.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Final Fantasy 7 & 10: I managed to defeat the final bosses in these games but they would have been much easier if I had bothered to level more.

Yoshi's Island: He's easy now but years ago I couldn't work out how to defeat the Slug boss in this game (You have to keep hitting his jelly-like body with eggs to expose his weak spot, his heart, then keep hitting it before it covers back up. If you don't do it quick enough he'll push you off the edge of the level). It took many Game Overs before I beat him.

Toy Story: I had this game on PC years ago but it took me many tries to defeat the giant Buzz Lightyear boss that you have to fight in one level.

I'm sure there's other bosses that I have found hard. I might update if I think of any more.

Optimus Prime: Revenge of the Fallen: He was made OP and he also had a backup weapons system as well. I gave up on the game and didn't go back(?).

Dreamy/Neo Bowser: M&L: Dream Team: He just spammed Koopa Corps and healed himself repeatedly, and he left opening for 1 attack only. How I hated him.

Military Helicopter: Panic Museum(Arcade): Over the top amount of reinforcements(Tanks etc.) and also had machine guns. It was the most challenging boss of the game.

Manta storm in super Mario sunshine

That Ice Boss in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I'm terrible at timing it right, so it creates this terribly annoying and repetitive boss battle for me.
