Leaving and Returning could be making some users think that is just for the specific purpose of users that have decided to leave or users that have returned.
That's why people seem to be passing right over it. Even though is stickied. It's going to keep happening because some users don't bother checking inside the topic.
I would love to elaborate more on this but this phone is burning hot right now. ;~;

What I mean is, if we want to make it happen on L/R, we need a title to make users see that is for information about users that are banned and suspended as well.

1) We already have a topic for this, Baro's

2) In another topic I said that Leaving/Returning Thread is best for this kind of stuff because those suspended and banned do leave, and majority of suspended users do return. So people can just say 'Oh this person left'. And when the person comes back 'oh I'm back'. The amount of topics made about suspensions and banned users seems to occur for those who are well known or post a lot. But I mean c'mon it's not that hard to post in one topic that is at the top of this section.

3) A sticky? Yeah no. Why would this need to be sticky if this rarely happens, I mean look at Baro's it is practically dead until someone posts in it to say someone is banned. Why would this one do any better.

4) It's not needed. Why? Because how often do you see someone banned or suspended.

That's basically my thoughts on this.

However, I would love it even more if it had a topic title that slaps you in the face with the purpose of the topic without having to check inside the topic to see what the topic is about.

Even if the leaving/returning thread would be better, it's currently not getting used; also if it were used people would probably complain about how discussion on gnorc'd/banned users should occur elsewhere. If it were sticky'd then there would be no need for another to be made because the previous one died.

I agree that baro's should be used though.

WAKA! JCW! CHANGE THE TITLE! Since you're the only ones who can. I suggest the "Leave of Absence Thread." That's what we use on another site and the mods (who are more open about any suspensions) post stuff. <.<;
