Asuna hopped up on top of the cave to look out at the savannah as she loved to do.

Kargolo clawed silently along the dusty ground behind Kona.

Scott nodded and went to lay by Matilda. She was asleep, it seemed, so he didn't wake her.

Kirito smiled and heard the silent pawsteps of his mate on the roof of the cave. He padded outside and hopped up, sitting beside her.

Matilda heard Scott and lifted her head.
"Hey." she said, her voice holding a tone of loneliness.

"Hey." Scott said, nuzzling Matilda's cheek gently. "You okay?"

Matilda offers a smile.
"Yeah, I guess."

"You don't sound okay." Scott said. "What's up?"

Matilda seems to shrug and lays her head on her paws.
"Just loneliness, I guess."

"Why would you be lonely?" Scott asked.

Matilda looks at him.
"I just feel like the odd one out. Like I don't have anyone."

"You have me." Scott said. "You don't have to be alone anymore."

Matilda smiled.
"Thanks Scott." she says, gently nuzzling his cheek.

Scott smiled back, laying his head on his paws. "No problem." He said.

Matilda layed against Scott's flank.

Scott slowly fell asleep, leaning into Matilda.

Kirito sat beside Asuna, looking up at the moon that was high in the sky.

Matilda lays her head on Scott's neck.

OOC: Should we skip to the next day?

OOC: Sounds good.

Matilda awakes and nudges Scott.

Kona turned around. "Huh?" He barked.

Scott slowly opened his eyes, still drowsy. Lila still slept, but Scott turned to Matilda and said, "Good morning."

Kargolo looked at the ground and sped into a charge, aiming his sharp feathers towards Kona.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" Kona yelped, running around in circles.

Kargolo then looked at him.
"You're really scared, aren't you?" He asked. He stopped charging and sat down. He still kept his guard up.

Scott slowly opened his eyes, still drowsy. Lila still slept, but Scott turned to Matilda and said, "Good morning."

Matilda smiled.
"Morning."

Kirito and Asuna padded in, dragging a buffalo.

"You guys sure slept for awhile." Asuna says with a smile.

"Yes, we had a long day yesterday." Scott said.

Matilda nodded.

Kirito smiled and laughed.

Asuna brought some of the meat to Scott and Matilda.

"Um... Eh..." Kona said. "Ahhhhhh!" Kona sped off.

OOC: I think that's what my dog would do in this situation.

Kargolo shrugged, stood, and started to chase the dog.

Kona saw the water hole. (It's a big thing in Nodder where lots of Savannah animals drink and live in) He started running faster. Maybe this thing couldn't swim.

"Thank you." Scott said, accepting the meat. He pushed some over to Matilda.

Matilda smiled and thanks Scott.

Kargolo leapt into the air to start chasing Kona from there.

Kona jumped into the water, only his back and head visible.

While Scott and Matilda ate, Lila woke up. It took her a moment to remember where she was, but she figured it out soon enough, and struggled to her feet.

Asuna smiled and brought some of the meat to Lila.
"Morning. Sleep well?" she asked kindly.

Kargolo couldn't actually swim. But he could dive. He dropped into a spinning dive, and got ever closer to the water. He didn't know how shallow this was, and this struck him at only a few seconds after he started the dive. He couldn't stop until he hit something, he had tried it before, and it turned out nasty. Really nasty. He didn't fly again for another month. He pinpointed a tree branch, and curved away to hit that instead of the water. He slammed into the branch. It hurt, but not as much as if he had hit the bottom of the water.

Kona saw his chance and bolted away. He squeezed into a small abandoned Jenna den.

"Yes, I did, thank you." Lila said, accepting the meat.

Asuna smiled and nodded, heading back to her mate.

Matilda looked out at the horizon, barely touching the meat.

"Are you feeling alright?" Scott asked.

Matilda shakes her head.
"Not really hungry."

Kargolo ran towards the lake. He looked for the dog. He just about saw it!

Scott nodded, laid next to Matilda, and began eating his meat.

Kona panted, staring at Kargolo.

Matilda lays her head on her paws and sighs.

Kargolo couldn't bear it. He let out a deafening eagle screech that shocked some of the other animals around the lake. A zebra galloped over to him and kicked his rib. He screeched and leapt onto it, a few moments later the horse was a scatter of fur and a few specks of meat and blood dotted around the place. Some other animals fled. Kargolo stared back at the dog in the water. He raised a wing to his head, and he plucked a feather and dropped it in the water, as if to say 'Well done, dog. You've beaten me, for now.' The brown/white/grey feather drifted to Kona. Kargolo flopped onto his forelegs and headed back to the cave. He grabbed some squirrels and voles from the grass to take back to his friends.

Kona stared at the feather.

Lila finished her meat and went over to sit by Scott and Matilda. "Where should we go today?" She asked.

Asuna padded over and looked over Matilda. She turned to Kirito.
"Kirito, Matilda's sick."

Kirito shook his head.
"Arctic dogs and the desert. I thought she'd catch the fever."

"Will she be okay?" Scott asked worriedly.
