lol GM most of your arguments are through the skylanders lens. You are stuck on this 100% game completion concept, this doesn't exist in DI (It's infinite smilie ) But by all means, keep bashing DI for not being able to finish the game with 5 figures.

I'm a fan of both games, as I stated above, we bought SSA day one because I knew right away it was something special. We bought DI because my kids are very creative and loved the toy box aspect of DI. I honestly don't have any allegiance to either game (As crazy a concept as it seems to be for you) because they are TWO DIFFERENT GAMES. In fact, You should be happy there is another toys 2 life game out there, it pushes Activision to up the ante.

Pre-swap force announcement, you were railing on about adding more content to Skylanders during the game cycle to add value and now are against the exact same concept with DI adding Playset content throughout the life cycle.

Alas there isn't any point debating with you on this because Skylanders has obviously hit the "religious" level for you. DI is considered a threat or opposing force. Once that level is hit, no argument against will be evaluated on a rational level, hence this quote from you:

"Maybe some people are just smart enough to see it."

We are lucky to have someone who will show us the light smilie

Zylek, DI has a method to 100% things, it just may not be shown. 100% to me, means unlocking EVERY item in the Toy Box. How can one do that without every figure? It's impossible.

To open vaults in each playset, you have to press the unlock button with each character from that franchise.

And I railed on Skylanders for added content out of assumption. Naturally, that changed when I saw the achievements for Swap Force, which may - MAY - include things like Time Attack levels, on top of the Bonus Missions, Score levels (also new), Team Survival Arena (also new), and completing 17 main story chapters (we all thought it was 12), and 2 Adventure Pack levels.

It's already a longer game than Giants. That's why my stance on content changed.

However, my stance on content was also due to the fact I was buying the Disney lie train babble about each playset taking 10 hours to 100%. I have only played Pirates for 1 hour and 9 minutes, and I am already out of the town, and that's having done every sidequest in there.

In other words, I am betting each playset really only takes about 3-4 hours to complete 100%. I am thinking Disney lied about the 10 hour completion per playset statement.

Believe me when I say that my fanboyism for anything died out when I could afford everything. I can like and dislike something about every game, genre, and game console out there. It's my right, since I bought them. However, none of it is out of bias for another product.

So, if you want to keep saying I have the Skylanders veil pulled over my eyes, that's your opinion on the matter. Flat out, I saw Disney's flaws when my kid's Incredibles save was deleted, just because my daughter pressed start on player 2, with no figure on the base, and it asked her to sign in with some Xbox account (we have a number of accounts on my son's Xbox for 2 player games), and when she did, it deleted the game and took us back through the 7 minute intro, right in the middle of playing the Incredibles playset.

In Skylanders, you can jump in with no characters on the portal, and it will just pick up where player 1 is at when a Skylander is placed on the portal.

Toy Box has been hard for my son as well. He's going on 12, and when he tries to stack or place things next to each other, you have to be precise with it, whereas in other world creating games, items automatically place themselves right next to any object you're trying to build next to.

That's not my, my kids, other kids, or other parents' faults. That's Disney's shortsightedness. They didn't really make Toy Box kid friendly.

That's not Skylanders or Activision's fault either. Again, a lot of people are seeing Infinity's faults, because they're there. No one made them be there, but Avalanche themselves.

Walmart has the Expansion packs (Cars and Lone Ranger) for $20. They also have the 3-Packs (Villians and SideKicks) for $15. Much better than the $40 and $30 that Game Stop is selling them for. Even beats TRU buy one get one half off.

Zylek does prove a good point (Or I guess multiple). I have always liked Skylanders and I always will, but Disney Infinity seems like a very fun game. GM78 seems to very much dislike it, ok then, that's good, it good that there is hate for this. There always has been, and there always will be. Remember all those, 'skylanders is a stupid idea', 'What did they do to you Spyro?!' fans? Do you know where they are, yep, that's right, they moved on....They thought, oh well, no one seems to want to listen to reason about how bad this game is, I'll just sit and let it fail now.....And hey, there already a 3rd game announced that a lot of people (Including me) are very excited for!

What I'm tring to say is, you guys who hate Infinity, go ahead, hate it, just please don't ruin it for someone who could potentially like it.....(Sure, I have seen the bugs and glitches, but I still think no different of this game, and I'm still looking forward to getting mine in a couple of days.....)

Went to TRU and Best Buy today to check it out....

TRU: They made a really big deal about this game...there were signs outside the store like it was for a presidential election..and there was huge cardboard display/archway thing that you had to walk through to get to the video game section! Ridiculous, right? Well let me tell you...the shelves were PACKED. There was maybe like, two characters missing from the shelves...the selection was twice the size of the Skylanders'. So yeah, Disney failed big time at TRU. Not one person was in the video game section looking at the figures. I can't stress enough how many products were on the shelf...Disney and TRU bit off more than they can chew. They also had about 15 starter packs. After looking for some other things I needed in TRU, I walked by the video game section once more and saw two little kids looking at the Skylanders, and placing each one on the portal to see them in action. DI was right beside the Skylanders, and they were completely ignoring it smilie

Best Buy: Not as many advertisements as TRU had...the shelves were also packed with figures and other products that nobody bought. They had about 10 starter packs. Not one person in the aisle except for me.

So yeah, DI is an epic fail so far. No one's buying it or the figures, and it's obvious as to why. Not only can you only use certain characters in certain worlds, but the figures are expensive. TRU had the single figures priced at $15.49. Are you kidding me? 16 bucks for a figure that can only be used in their respective world? Ridiculous. Also, the power discs are about 6 dollars each...and judging be unboxings I've seen on Youtube, doubles are VERY common to get. So, don't expect to be seeing Disney Infinity for as long as Skylanders. Once everyone sees how horrible the game is (and I'm not just saying that just because!) they'll stop buying the figures, and Disney will be at a huge loss of money. I thought this game would at least be popular for the first few months of it being out, but now I know for sure it won't be. Once SSF comes out, this will all be over. Stores are going to regret ordering so many DI things.

The prices you are quoting are not the MSRP, if and it's a big if you saw the figures at that price it's the store overcharging. The 2 kids playing with Skylanders couldn't have tried the DI stuff before or after? You must not have any experience with blind packs of any sort, the whole point of a blind pack is that you could get an ordinary item, a duplicate of something you already have or a rare item, also they're meant to be traded. Why do you people insist on basing the games success on whether or not you personally saw anybody buying it at a specific store at a specific time? Do you know what a sample size is? This entire board of people is completely insignificant and not even close to being big enough to gather any worthwhile information, especially when so many of you are hating just because DI isn't Skylanders. You're not just saying the game is horrible? So you own it and have played it extensively right?

The price is not over charging. Why would I lie? TRU had them for $15.49 each. TRU is also known for charging a bit more than other stores do.

Um, I don't know what you're trying to get at about your blind packs comment. I know how they work, I'm not stupid. Did I ever say they're not meant to be traded, or that they're not meant to have commons, rares or doubles? No, I did not. Don't put words in my mouth!

If you would have actually read my post instead of trying to pick it apart, you would have known that I'm not hating Infinity just for hating Infinity. I WANTED to buy Disney Infinity, but after seeing some bad reviews, and how the game really is, I know the game isn't for me. That doesn't mean I'm hating it, I just don't like it and have no desire to buy it. I don't have to buy and play the game because judging from reviews, I KNOW THE GAME ISN'T SOMETHING I WOULD ENJOY! I don't just drop hundreds of dollars on a game and "wing it" to see if I like it...I do my research first.

Contemplating buying this for my kids and myself and made a few observations. On Sunday went to local stores in Westminster/Huntington Beach, California. Best Buy sold a couple of starters nothing significant. Target only placed 2 of each for each system and sold 8. Toys R Us had sold almost 20. GameStop was placing all they're stock on shelves when we got there about 12 and had a few sold but nothing much. I make friends with employees at most of these stores or just get on there good side, so finding out stuff isn't that hard.

Now here's the 1 that really got me. Disneyland has Infinity at 1 location on Main Street in the old smoke shop, where they sell all the video games and music CDs. They didn't sell 1 all day today and the cast member said she worked yesterday also and didn't sell 1 on Sunday. Now if your company just released a game you would want promotions or ads everywhere don't you thing! WRONG, no ads for it up in downtown Disney or no display in World of Disney. I have family and friends that work in both parks, so I'll ask later in the week if they got any promotional stuff for it. They get DVDs and buttons and stuff for most major releases.

Overlooked errors in games happen all the time.

Crash Twinsanity, a great Crash game, has numerous bugs.

You can die by touching the corpse of a defeated boss. Not to mention you'll have to face him again.

You can bring Dr. Neo Cortex with you anywhere in the game by a glitch, but if you save, that file is permanently corrupted.

Countless video game glitches exist. Even Pac-Man glitches up at the 256th level.

Honestly when I go to Disney World I only buy stuff that is exclusive to Disney Parks. They sell plenty of Hasbro merchandise and other items that I can find every day at my local big box stores. So it's not too much of a surprise that it's not selling in the parks.

I just find it funny that all the skylanders haters were hyping up D.I. just because they use toys to life. And I'll find it funny when they see that Skylanders is not going anywhere and they can crawl back into their hate caves and troll on youtube servers. On another note, I heard that Disney Infinity was in the making first but SSA beat them to the punch. I was trying to see if anyone knew if that was true. If it was...then what was Disney doing for two whole years that it took them this long to dish out this game? Were they waiting for dramatic effect or something?

TRU website $13.99 plus they have a buy one get one 50% off. Again using price to knock DI when you are quoting some random prices is ignorant.

You complained about doubles being common in BLIND packs, you clearly don't know how blind packs work if you're complaining about doubles. You could get a full set in 10 packs if you are incredibly lucky. Or you could buy 10 packs and only have 2 different discs.

Ok, so you allow others to decide what you like and what you don't like, you do not form your own opinions? I can post some positive reviews if you would like. Who am I kidding you already have a preconceived "opinion" about DI and it wouldn't matter how many positive reviews I posted.

Finally I didn't try to pick it apart, I did pick it apart.

Well, that glitch is because they only stored 2 bytes for the level...all games have storage limitations. Try and store more than 65000 for gold in skylanders---can't happen. The stuff we see today is because of incomplete/poor testing---or the game is too complex for adequate testing. Big difference imo.
