First post! Got my Pumpkin Eye Brawl last night at the EB Games in Milton (the one on Steeles).

Been lurking for a bit and found this thread extremely helpful for Skylanders scouring, so I'm joining the fun for Swap Force!

TO MY FELLOW MONTREALERS! Went hunting today. Went to Hippodrome Blue Bonnets (Namur Metro), found and bought Pumpkin Eye Brawl and Gnarly Tree Rex at EBGames, even though I had decided that neither interested me much, LOL! (Eye Brawl, the pumpkin face is weird and the suit is monotone. Kinda bored, not excited about Tree Rex, why get another?) I'm kinda disgusted with myself, LMAO!

Walmart also had Pumpkin but no Gnarly, I'm wondering if he might be exclusive to EBGames, at least for now? They also had Zook, I need S2 Zook! Yay! He was almost the only SSA. Boo. LOL! Oh well.

And while I was leaving, I noticed the store in the corner finally has signs, it's going to be a Toys R Us! TRU/Babies R Us, that is. Only two signs, one saying opening soon, the other saying now hiring. And this is the corner closest to the metro, those of us who get around using public transit, the only thing closer to the metro is the Burger King. Judging by the completion, looks like they might only have to clean the rubble from the parking lot and to fill it. I suspect opening by the end of September, end of October at most.

Was at the Brampton Toys R' Us at Queen/Highway 410 earlier today. They are carrying the Lightcore 3-pack of Prism Break/Eruptor/Drobot, which I heard was originally a U.S. Target exclusive. It's certainly the first time I've seen it in Canada, however late to the party it may be. There was also a healthy stock of Pumpkin Eye Brawl and Legendary Bouncer for anyone looking for those.

Oddly enough, the new Legendary Bouncer packaging does not have the 'Only at Toys R' Us' label from earlier waves.

IDK, I found him months ago, stopped noticing since then... Though that was in the Scorpion Striker, I'm pretty sure they had the single too... And yes, I mean the non-lightcore single.

Some costcos have pumpkin eye brawl if anyone want him. Costco sells giants for $13.

I visited the first today, Wednesday, which would be Place Vertu. Since the electronics section (upstairs, right in front of where you get off the escalator) is right next to the toy section, it seemed logical to me to put the Skylanders section on the border aisle, but no. Had to go left of the registers:



That's the entire display. The stuff cut off on the bottom of the pictures is the stuff sitting on the actual shelf. I was hoping they'd have Granite Crusher, and kind of hoping for Jade Flashwing, but I saw neither. Either they didn't have them, or they got cleaned out in their first 2 days.

Note that this DID include at least 2 Lightcore Prism Breaks, and a few Shroombooms (both Lightcore and not)

Congrats on getting Target! Hope it's everything you wanted it to be, LOL (I think the novelty died off in our area fairly quickly).

That's a pretty decent selection, what with the Gnarly, Ninjini, Spyro and Hot Dogs - most of the Targets in my area have the standard assorted of Flashwing, Shroomboom, Stump Smash, Whirlwind, etc.

Yeah, looked like a pretty good selection. As I said, I WAS hoping they'd be nice enough to have Granite and Jade, though. And I already have Ninjini and Hot Dog, and S1 of Spyro, and I got Gnarly last week, so there wasn't much for ME here. Oh well.

It SERIOUSLY felt just like Walmart. I mean, I used to (sort-of, indirectly) work for Target, in 2010, and I got that impression way back then. Months before they announced in late 2010 that Canada would be getting Target, LOL!

DLC = Darklight Crypt --> Got it. No I have not seen DLC at Walmart(s).

HOWEVER, I was at Walmart and somehow I see a metallic purple Lightning Rod sitting there.
I didn't even know what it was, but I was smart enough to grab it and buy it for $7 (Anniversary Sale).

Of course it is quite expensive on eBay now, but I am wondering -
is it more likely to go up in price, or down in price, the longer I hold on to it?

Any thoughts? Are "Tickle me Elmo" expensive on eBay?

My personal opinion is either hold onto it knowing you've got a rare chase variant and not worry about how much it'll go for (since in all likely scenarios you'll likely make some amount of profit even years from now) or put it up on eBay now, undercut the guys selling at $200+ and snag some hardcore collector who was on the fence about shelling out $200, but will see $150 as a 'steal', for example. Which is still a pretty sweet return.
