how long did it take before we see dark spyro from the 3ds box being released as stand alone?.... the 3ds red pop fizz i havent seen yet as stand alone.. so i use wave4 for the release as example here. it can be longer or shorter release.. i dunno... anyway the question stands...

There hasn't been any official confirmation on when Rattle Shake will be available besides in the 3DS pack.

Either way, buy the game for the game! The 3DS versions have been awesome so far, and I have no doubt this one will be as well.

yes but if you have to wait 3 or moar months for that figure to buy stand alone.. when everyone have it... its no fun.. so its a honest question.

I've preordered a 3ds copy, even with the single releases of rattle and free. It'll save me lots of time down the road, has volcanic Eruptor, and is less money I have to spend D1.

and you get earlier access to moar areas in the game to explore... so the ones that buys the 3ds and console game, they get more play time in the console game earlier.... or you have to wait 3 or moar months for single releases.... it can be a tough wait, when all here at darkspyro talk about the awshum stuff you cant reach...

so im gonna get both to, i will be looking for good deals for both...

I am getting both Starter Packs come Day 1, thanks to those coupons from the Giantkicks.

I always get 4 of every character (3 for me, 1 for the kids), so I will have these Swaplanders on day 1. However, since I am getting 17 of each Swaplander, I will wait until single pack releases to get the other 15.

Likewise with Wash Buckler and Blast Zone. Get 3 of them on day 1, get the remaining 15 when Starter Packs go on sale.

The box for Rattle Shake shown in some videos online confirms it AFAIK. We just don't know when.

I'll get the 3DS game since my son has one and we'll likely not wait.

For the first game, 3 out of 6 starter-pack figures were released solo (one being released as an EU exclusive).
For the second game, 3 out of the 7 starter-pack figures were released solo (one or two *might* be released still).

There's just no clear precedent to say "Yeah, this figure will be released!" - but not releasing them is leaving money on the table - something Activision doesn't like to do.

I'm surprised there's not a standard Tree Rex single, since I know there's some of us who'd buy it.

rattle shake and free ranger will be in singles as already stated as their singles boxes were leaked at e3 and even more recently from character reveals. the only one that is 3ds exclusive is the different colored lava barf. all the swaplanders will have single packs, it's just stealth elf and eruptor exclusive to their starters.

i really hope you aren't buying 18 starter packs if I read your post accurately because you'll save a lot more money in just getting all the single packs. every swaplander is getting a single pack.

Although I don't believe there's any 100% confirmation from multiple consistent verifiable sources ... all signs I've seen and heard point to Rattle Shake being available as a single-pack character in "Wave 1".
Regardless ... it's two months away. Kinda silly to be worried about this now. Know thyself ... if you're the type that gets nervous about "missing out", then just buy both Starter Packs on Day one. If you have a shred of patience in you, then wait.

So you're looking at $50 valued items right off the bat in a $60 pack, which you'll save $10 with making it balance out as the pre-order doesn't cost you anything additional.

Makes sense, though. If you want them all, you'll buy the 3DS version at launch - this way, they can fill two launch slots with "new" figures a lot of people will get anyway and stretch out the releases of the final two figures towards the end.

Just another perspective: it seems some information here is viewed as "good" vs "bad" -- to me it's all speculation. I don't usually believe anything unless it's grounded in something I can sink my teeth into. Maybe I still don't know "who's who"...again just my perspective.

if snake and freeranger comes out on day one, there is no problem (at least not for me, i dont go for the variations) and dark barfy we will definitive have to wait for. but we know from ssa that it did take months before ignitor and dark spyro was released, and giant had the same figurines in the 3ds and console versions except red pop fizz that is not released as a single yet...

everyone here that have been here from the beginning since the ssa can see there is a pattern here, even if its only speculations at the moment. because it makes sense for activision not to release all of the 3ds figures day one. they want to double dip and to get people to buy both version.

its here the real problem start, because people that buy both will have moar access to places in the game and longer game play than others for months.... and worse the shops maybe not take in these figurines at all since they arrive outside of the waves. but even worse the scalpers will be flogging the 3ds version and selling for the triple price at evilbay...

Wait when has it been confirmed that they are both out day 1 in singles.Yeah there packaging has been revealed but we got no confirmation.

Gonna get the 3DS version on Black Friday. Getting it at launch isn't necessary, especially since it's the same price for a version of the game that has consistently been mediocre. Even if I did have the money to get it on launch day, Pokemon XY came out the day before so I wouldn't even touch it until 2-3 weeks later.

HOPEFULLY at least one store will have Swap Force on sale come black friday. If they don't I'll probably just get it for Christmas

Since I already have a ps3 and a 3ds, I'm buying both. I have ps3 reserved now and will buy 3ds another day. I highly doubt any of these starter packs will be hard to find after the Christmas months. I'm also waiting on the adventure/battle packs. Yes the dark spyro and punch pop fizz were released single later but only in foreign countries. I spent only 12 bucks on an US loose dark spyro with no problems. Id be spending a fortune on shipping alone if I bought from UK. I'm glad there are 6 different figures released for both console and handheld. It makes looking for these figures easier
